Bound for KHL DeAngelo signed a one-year contract with KHL club SKA St. Petersburg on Monday.

Impact DeAngelo saw action in just 31 regular-season games for the Hurricanes last year in which he generated three goals, eight assists and six power-play points while averaging a career-low 14:20 of ice time. It seems the 28-year-old blueliner didn't have any significant offers from NHL clubs this summer and will need to revitalize his career in the KHL.

Impact DeAngelo is eligible for unrestricted free agency in July after completing a one-year, $1.675 million contract with the Hurricanes.
