Week 5 Injury Report: Seahawks vs. Rams Updates on the Seahawks’ injury situation heading into their Week 5 games against the Los Angeles Rams
George Kittle - Calf injury lingers Coach Kyle Shanahan considers Kittle to be day-to-day with a calf injury, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact Kittle emerged from the 49ers' Week 3 loss to the Packers with a sore calf, which contained him to one limited practice last week. He still was active Sunday against the Seahawks and logged 70 of 76 offensive snaps (92 percent), but he didn't produce much in the box score on 11 targets (four catches for 40 yards). The lack of output may have been the result of the injury and fact he was on the receiving end of passes from both Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance because the former suffered a bruised calf in the contest. Garoppolo is a question mark to suit up this Sunday in Arizona, meaning Kittle could be working with Lance for a full game versus just one half in Week 5.

Jimmy Garoppolo - To be examined again Wednesday Coach Kyle Shanahan said Garoppolo has been diagnosed with a calf contusion, and the 49ers will evaluate him again Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Garoppolo didn't play a snap after halftime in the 49ers' Week 4 loss to the Seahawks. A subsequent MRI has revealed the extent of his calf injury, and Shanahan added that if Garoppolo improves enough my mid-week, he may be able to suit up Sunday at Arizona, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com. If he does get healthy enough to play, Garoppolo will push Trey Lance back to his backup role. On the other hand, Lance would be in line for his first NFL start if Garoppolo needs some time off.

Jacques Patrick - Takes over as backup Patrick received two carries for 12 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to Seattle.
Impact Patrick made his second appearance with the 49ers, but this time around he got on the field for an offensive drive (six snaps). Trey Sermon still dominated the backfield playing time (51 percent of offensive snaps), but the big-framed back took over the backup duties after not receiving an offensive snap last week. Elijah Mitchell's (shoulder) status still is up in the air for Sunday's tilt against the Cardinals, so it'll be interesting to see if Patrick's touches increase at all if he's asked to back up Sermon again.
