Corey Davis - Headed for season-ending surgery Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Monday that Davis will undergo season-ending core-muscle surgery.
Impact Davis lasted just 24 plays in Sunday's loss to the Eagles before checking out of the contest after aggravating the groin injury that previously sidelined him for the Week 12 win over the Texans. The core-muscle injury was more than likely related to the hip issue that also sidelined Davis for Weeks 8 and 9, so the Jets are seemingly hopeful that surgery will be able to address the matter once and for all. Signed to a three-year, $37.5 million contract this offseason with the hope that he would emerge as a bona fide No. 1 wideout for New York, Davis finishes his inaugural campaign with the Jets with 34 receptions for 492 yards and four touchdowns on 59 targets over nine appearances. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, most core-muscle procedures carry 8-to-10-week recovery timelines, so Davis should be back at 100 percent -- or close to it -- for OTAs.

Patrick Johnson - Clear of serious injury Coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that Johnson's back injury isn't a serious issue, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact Johnson suffered the injury during the first half of Sunday's win over the Jets and never retook the field, but it's apparently not a significant injury. The rookie seventh-round pick will have the Week 14 bye to aid in his recovery before Philadelphia takes on Washington on Dec. 19.
