Key's Big List: Chiefs, Vikings top Keyshawn Johnson's 7 best NFL teams
Jordan Whitehead - Continues steady start to campaign Whitehead registered six tackles (five solo) in a 33-16 Week 4 victory over the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact Whitehead tied for second on the Buccaneers in stops behind linebacker Lavonte David. Whitehead has recorded at least six tackles in all four of Tampa Bay's contests so far this year, giving him a reliable IDP floor. The safety is coming off a career-best 97 stops last season as a member of the Jets.

Lavonte David - Disruptive in Week 4 win David tallied eight tackles (five solo), including 2.0 sacks, defensed a pass and forced a fumble in Sunday's 33-16 victory versus the Eagles.
Impact David's first sack came late in the third quarter and resulted in a Jalen Hurts fumble that was recovered by the Buccaneers. The veteran linebacker brought down Hurts again on Philadelphia's next drive, which ended with an Eagles punt. David is on pace for another campaign of triple-digit tackles, as he has 29 stops through four weeks.

Antonio Grier Jr. - Signed off practice squad The Buccaneers signed Grier off the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Grier joined the Bucs' practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. Adding Grier to the active roster gives the Bucs some additional depth at linebacker after SirVocea Dennis (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve.

Kameron Johnson - Participates in walk-through Johnson (ankle) was a limited participant during the Buccaneers' walk-through session Tuesday, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
Impact Johnson was able to suit up for Week 4 against the Eagles after missing Week 3 against the Broncos due to an ankle injury. He's started this week with back-to-back limited participation designations, and Wednesday's injury report will provide more clarity on his status for Thursday's NFC South showdown against the Falcons. Smith has played 53 snaps (34 on offense, 19 on special teams) and registered one carry for no gain and one target through three-regular season games.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Logan Hall - Limited in Tuesday's walk-through Hall (foot) was limited during Tuesday's walk-through, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Hall has logged back-to-back limited practice sessions ahead of Thursday's game against the Falcons. His foot injury kept him out of Week 1 against the Commanders. Hall logged his first sack of the season during Sunday's 33-16 win over the Eagles.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Antoine Winfield Jr. - DNP on Tuesday Winfield (foot) did not participate in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Winfield was also a DNP for Monday's estimated injury report, and it appears he's trending towards being ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Falcons. The 2020 second-round pick will have one more chance Wednesday to participate in some capacity to give himself a shot at playing Thursday. Christian Izien will continue to serve as the Bucs' starting free safety for as long as Winfield remains sidelined.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Trey Palmer - Listed as DNP again Palmer (concussion) was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Palmer is highly unlikely to play in Thursday's game at Atlanta, having entered concussion protocol during Sunday's win over the Eagles. He was filling in for Jalen McMillan (hamstring) as the No. 3 receiver, a role that then fell to Sterling Shepard. With McMillan also listed as a non-participant so far this week, Shepard may again join Mike Evans and Chris Godwin as a regular presence in three-wide formation.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen McMillan - Listed as DNP again McMillan (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact McMillan missed Sunday's win over the Eagles and isn't look good for Thursday at Atlanta. Trey Palmer replaced him as the No. 3 receiver and caught a TD early on against the Eagles, but Palmer then left the game with a concussion, thrusting Sterling Shepard into a considerable role for the first time in years.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
SirVocea Dennis - Placed on IR with shoulder injury The Buccaneers placed Dennis on injured reserve Tuesday due to a shoulder injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Head coach Todd Bowles said Monday that the shoulder injury Dennis sustained during Sunday's win over the Eagles was "pretty bad," per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Dennis will now be required to miss at least the next four games of the regular season, which would put his earliest return date to Week 9 against the Chiefs on Nov. 4, though the severity of the injury could force the 2023 fifth-round pick to sit beyond the minimum window. K.J. Britt saw an uptick in defensive snaps at inside linebacker after Dennis went down in the second quarter of Sunday's game, and the former should slide into the starting role alongside Lavonte David moving forward.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Mike Evans - Upgrades to limited practice Evans (knee/calf) was limited in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Evans was listed as a non-participant Monday, so it's encouraging to see him upgrade his participation level Tuesday, even if Tampa Bay is hosting another walk-through session. The star wideout figures to have a good chance to suit up for Thursday's divisional matchup against the Falcons, barring any setbacks, even if he ultimately carries an injury designation into the contest. If Evans can upgrade to a 'full' practice session Wednesday, however, it will mitigate any concerns about his health. The veteran wideout is coming off a 8-94-1 receiving line on 14 targets during Week 4's win over the Eagles, in which he tallied season-best marks in terms of catches, yards and targets.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sterling Shepard - Earns active roster spot Shepard was signed to the Buccaneers' active roster from their practice squad Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Impact Shepard was elevated to Tampa Bay's active roster ahead of their Week 3 win and ended up playing 47 snaps on offense and catching three of five targets for 51 yards. His addition to the 53-man roster comes as the team's wide receiver corps has been decimated by injuries, with Mike Evans (knee), Jalen McMillan (hamstring), Trey Palmer (concussion) and Kameron Johnson (ankle) all questionable to suit up for Thursday's divisional matchup with the Falcons.

Falcons vs. Buccaneers Injury Report – Week 5, 2024
Chase McLaughlin - Productive showing in Week 4 win McLaughlin connected on field-goal attempts from 21 and 52 yards and converted three of four extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 33-16 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact McLaughlin recorded yet another one of his signature 50+ yard kicks and also made good on a chip shot, but he missed the first extra-point attempt of not just his season-plus Buccaneers, but since the 2021 campaign. Despite the exceedingly rare stumble, McLaughlin continues to be one of the most effective placekickers from both a real-word and fantasy perspective, as he's quickly amassed 31 points over four games.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sean Tucker - Logs two touches in win Tucker rushed once for three yards and brought in his only target for 14 yards in the Buccaneers' 33-16 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact Tucker logged a season-high six snaps from scrimmage and logged his first reception of the season in the process. The second-year back continues to play his largest role on special teams, as opportunities behind Rachaad White and Bucky Irving will continue to be scarce as long as the duo is healthy.
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Cade Otton - Another productive showing Sunday Otton secured six of nine targets for 52 yards in the Buccaneers' 33-16 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact After opening the season with one catch for five yards on four targets over his first two games, Otton has emerged as a key option in the air attack over the subsequent pair of contests. The third-year tight end has generated a 13-99 line on 17 looks from Baker Mayfield in that span, and Sunday, he tied Chris Godwin for second in targets. Otton's role may still fluctuate on occasion, but he certainly appears to be finding his niche within coordinator Liam Coen's offense heading into Thursday night's road showdown against the Falcons.

Short week doesn't afford first-place Bucs much time to rest

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off to a 3-1 start with a lot of room for improvement
OCTOBER 1, 2024 • Associated Press
Sterling Shepard - Returns to practice squad Shepard reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Impact Shepard was afforded a large workload in his second appearance of the season Sunday against the Eagles with Jalen McMillan (hamstring) inactive and Trey Palmer suffering a concussion in the contest. On his 50 (of 77) offensive snaps, Shepard hauled in three of five targets for 51 yards, which mostly was fueled by a 30-yard catch. With all of Mike Evans (knee/calf), McMillan and Palmer estimated as non-participants and Kameron Johnson (ankle) listed as limited on Monday's injury report, Shepard is poised for another expanded look in the Buccaneers offense for Thursday's game at Atlanta, assuming he's elevated again from the practice squad.
