INJURIES

Labeled as day-to-day Coach Ron Rivera said Monday that Seals-Jones (hip) is considered day-to-day, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Rivera revealed Monday that Seals-Jones has been dealing with a hip issue throughout the season, and he aggravated the injury in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers. While it doesn't appear as though the injury is a long-term concern, John Bates and Sammis Reyes should see increased work if Seals-Jones and Logan Thomas (hamstring) are unavailable for Sunday's game against Carolina.

Injures hip in Week 10 Seals-Jones suffered a hip injury during Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Seals-Jones caught three of four targets for 30 yards before he departed late in the first half. If he's unable to return, John Bates and Sammis Reyes will man tight end for Washington.
NOVEMBER 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Held to two catches Seals-Jones caught two of four targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Broncos.
Impact Seals-Jones made his fourth consecutive start and played 100 percent of offensive snaps for a third straight week. He's been in a full-time role ever since Logan Thomas hurt his hamstring in the first quarter of Washington's Week 4 contest, with Seals-Jones averaging 3.8 catches for 36.2 yards on 6.0 targets over the five-game stretch Weeks 4-8. He may revert to a backup role after a Week 9 bye, with Thomas hoping to make it back from injured reserve for Week 10 against Tampa Bay.

Puts in full practice Thursday Seals-Jones (quadriceps) was a full practice participant Thursday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Seals-Jones has been fairly productive while working in place of No. 1 tight end Logan Thomas (hamstring) over the last three-plus games, hauling in 17 of 26 passes for 169 yards and one touchdown. After logging a limited session himself Wednesday, Seals-Jones' ability to complete a full practice one day later puts him in a position to continue receiving spot starts for Thomas.

Limited Wednesday Seals-Jones (quadriceps) was limited at Wednesday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Seals-Jones has missed just six offensive snaps since taking over for Logan Thomas when he hurt his hamstring back in Week 4. Over nearly four games, Seals-Jones has been a consistent target of Taylor Heinicke, hauling in 17 of 26 passes for 169 yards and one touchdown. Seals-Jones himself played Week 7 after having some practice limitations last week due to a quad issue, so he's likely in a similar state with his health this time around. Still, he'll have a pair of sessions to clear the air before the weekend.

Washington wastes numerous opportunities in loss to Packers

Washington didn’t punt all day but scored just 10 points

Six-catch effort Seals-Jones caught six passes on seven targets for 51 yards against Green Bay on Sunday.
Impact Seals-Jones wasn't explosive with his seven targets, averaging just 8.5 yards per reception, but he was an efficient security blanket target in a game during which Taylor Heinicke struggled to get the ball to anyone other than Seals-Jones and Terry McLaurin. Seals-Jones has shown the ability to provide useful fantasy production if he gets enough snaps, particularly with the injuries Washington has dealt with at receiver, but it's possible that Logan Thomas (hamstring) could return soon. Seals-Jones is unlikely to play regularly upon Thomas' return.

All set for Sunday Seals-Jones (quadriceps) will play in Sunday's game against Green Bay, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact The tight end missed practice Wednesday and was a limited participant Thursday, but he'll avoid an injury designation on Washington's final report. Seals-Jones has topped 90 percent snap share in three straight games, catching 11 of 19 targets for 118 yards and touchdown during that stretch. He's on the TE1 map, at least the bottom half of it, for however long Logan Thomas (hamstring) remains sidelined. To that end, coach Ron Rivera said Friday that the decision on Thomas' return will be strictly medical and won't involve considerations about the team's record or upcoming bye (in Week 9), per Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic. Thomas is eligible to return from IR as soon as Week 8 at Denver, as Sunday in Green Bay will mark his third straight absence.

Limited at practice Thursday Seals-Jones (quadriceps) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact This follows an absence from Wednesday's session as Seals-Jones tends to a quad issue. By getting back into at least positional drills one day later, he's putting himself into a position to not miss any game action, but Friday's injury report ultimately will determine if he goes into the weekend with an injury designation attached to his name. With Logan Thomas (hamstring) out of commission most of the last three games, Seals-Jones has been Washington's clear-cut No. 1 TE, playing 90 percent of the offensive snaps in each contest while compiling an 11-118-1 receiving line on 19 targets.
OCTOBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Back at practice Seals-Jones (quadriceps) was spotted taking part in positional drills during the open portion of Thursday's practice, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Impact After sitting out Wednesday's session entirely, Seals-Jones looks like he'll be able to practice on at least a limited basis Thursday. If he's able to move past the quad issue in advance of Sunday's game in Green Bay, Seals-Jones should operate as Washington's clear No. 1 tight end, and one of the top options in the team's passing attack overall. Seals-Jones has played over 90 percent of Washington's offensive snaps in each of the three games since Logan Thomas went down with a hamstring injury, producing an 11-118-1 receiving line on 19 targets over that stretch.

Dealing with quad injury Seals-Jones missed Wednesday's practice due to a quadricep injury.
Impact Since Logan Thomas hurt his right hamstring Week 4 and found himself on IR, Seals-Jones has taken on a large role in Washington passing game. Over nearly three games as the team's top tight end, Seals-Jones has earned at least 90 percent of the offensive snaps in each contest on his way to 11 catches (on 19 targets) for 118 yards and one touchdown. Considering his production and situation, his status will be one to monitor as the week goes on. After Seals-Jones, the Football Team has John Bates, Sammis Reyes and Jace Sternberger at tight end.

Tallies 39-yard touchdown Seals-Jones recorded four receptions on six targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Chiefs.
Impact Seals-Jones gave Washington a short-lived lead when he hauled in a 39-yard touchdown just before halftime. He tacked on an additional 14-yard reception, but he was otherwise limited to short gains. Through two weeks with Logan Thomas (hamstring) fully absent, Seals-Jones has combined to command 15 targets while hauling in nine receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown.
