Impact The 2019 first-round pick from Michigan had spent all seven years of his NFL career with the Packers, but the team has now decided to move in another direction. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Gary was due $19.5 million during the 2026 season, but the money was non-guaranteed, meaning the move creates additional cap space for Green Bay. Since entering the league, Gary has notched 46.5 sacks, highlighted by 9.5- and 9.0-sack campaigns in 2021 and 2023, respectively. However, he struggled down the stretch for the Packers last season, failing to record a single sack over the team's final 11 games (including playoffs). Even so, Gary is expected to be a coveted asset for teams in need of pass-rush help ahead of next season.
