Impact Sewell was able to finish the game without much of an issue, so it sounds like the team expects him to be out there next Sunday night against the Vikings with the division title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC on the line. Should be good for Week 1 Head coach Dan Campbell appeared optimistic Saturday that Sewell (ankle) will be good to go for Week 1 against the Rams, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.

Impact Sewell was forced to leave Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, but the MRI came back negative. Sewell has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons as the Lions' starting right tackle, and he has started in all 50 games he's played over the last three years.

Avoids serious injury Sewell received a clean MRI on the foot that he injured during practice Wednesday, Jared Ramsey of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Impact Sewell injured his foot during scrimmage against the Lions' first-team defense Wednesday. He was able to walk off the field and to the team's facility under his own power, and the subsequent MRI confirmed that the 2021 first-round pick avoided serious injury. It's good news for Detroit, whose offense is already dealing with hamstring injuries to Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta. It appears Sewell should be good to go for Week 1 against the Rams.
