If Sanders is cleared to return for Week 18 or during the first round of the postseason (should the Eagles secure a playoff spot), he may need to wear some form of protection on his fractured hand. Sirianni added that Jordan Howard (neck), who suffered a stinger in Week 16, could be ready to go for the game in Washington, in which case he and Boston Scott would likely split most of the carries out of the Philadelphia backfield. Rookie Kenneth Gainwell remains on hand as a change-of-pace option.

Impact Sanders was removed from Sunday's win over the Giants in the second quarter and later left the stadium with a soft cast around his broken hand. Jordan Howard (stinger) also made an early exit, leaving Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell as the Eagles' healthy running backs. Second straight 100-yard effort Sanders rushed 18 times for 131 yards and secured both his targets for 15 yards in the Eagles' 27-17 win over Washington on Tuesday night.

Impact Jalen Hurts and Dallas Goedert stole the show through the air -- and Hurts certainly made his own notable contributions with his legs as well -- but Sanders also stood out with his second straight 100-yard effort.
