Upgrades to full practice Thursday Brown (finger) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Brown was held out of Wednesday's practice session after undergoing surgery on a broken left pinky finger, but the 27-year-old's return to unrestricted participation Thursday suggests there are no real concerns about his Week 3 availability. With Cam Akers (ribs) having missed back-to-back practices, Brown and Darrell Henderson could end up splitting the backfield work versus Buffalo on Sunday.

Not practicing Wednesday Brown (finger) won't practice Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Brown's snap count has been consistent through two games, but his touch count dropped from 21 in Week 1 to 11 this past Sunday at Philadelphia. Perhaps the broken left pinky finger he suffered in the latter game caused coach Sean McVay to call Brown's name less, but his status now is in some question for a Week 3 visit to Buffalo. Elsewhere in the backfield, rookie Cam Akers also is sitting out Wednesday due to separated rib cartilage, so Darrell Henderson is the healthiest of the Rams' running-back trio.

FANTASY PLAYS: Players to add include Henderson, Gesicki

FANTASY PLAYS: Players to add for Week 3 include running backs Mike Davis of Carolina, Darrell Henderson Jr. of the Los Angeles Rams and tight end Mike Gesicki of Miami

Undergoes surgery for broken finger Brown underwent surgery on the broken left pinkie finger he sustained in Sunday's 37-19 win over the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact After headlining the Los Angeles backfield in the Week 1 win over the Cowboys, Brown (11 carries for 47 yards) essentially split work with Darrell Henderson (12 carries for 81 yards) on Sunday, with the third option in the Rams' committee (Cam Akers) playing only three snaps before departing with separated rib cartilage. While Akers' availability for the Rams' Week 3 game in Buffalo remains up in the air, the injury Brown sustained didn't force him out early in Philadelphia and shouldn't result in him missing time. Assuming Brown proves in practices this week that ball security isn't an issue post-surgery, he could enter the matchup with the Bills minus an injury designation, but his workload may be difficult to predict after Henderson outperformed him Week 2.

Expected to play Sunday at Buffalo Brown (finger) suffered a fractured pinky in Sunday's 37-19 victory over the Eagles, but he's expected to be available for Week 3's game against the Bills, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.co...
Impact Coach Sean McVay indicated that Brown had his finger "fixed" Monday, so the issue does not seem to be too serious. Still, his status should be monitored throughout the week to ensure he doesn't suffer any setbacks.

McVay's Rams look tougher than many expected after 2-0 start

Hurts finger Sunday Brown injured his finger during Sunday's 37-19 win at Philadelphia, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Cam Akers received the first three touches given to the Rams backfield Week 2, but a rib injury forced him to miss the rest of the contest. Thereafter, Brown compiled 47 yards on 11 rushes while Darrell Henderson totaled 121 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 14 touches. With such a breakdown, Brown wasn't asked to be the team's lead RB, but his own health concern may have swayed coach Sean McVay's decision-making. This position group will be one to monitor closely as the week proceeds.

Takes backseat to Henderson Brown rushed 11 times for 47 yards in the Rams' 37-19 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact Just a week removed from his big, two-touchdown outburst on Sunday Night Football, Brown was forced into a near-even timeshare, even as Cam Akers left the game early with a ribs injury. Brown received just three fewer touches than Darrell Henderson, a week after out-toucing him, 21-3. It was Henderson, however, who piled up 121 yards from scrimmage and a score. Brown still could find his way to a handful of touches per week, but he's may see his role gradually reduce in favor of Henderson and -- when he's healthy enough to return -- Akers.
