Ruled out for Week 7 The Ravens ruled Murray (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Impact With Murray sidelined due to a sprained left ankle, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com relays that Devonta Freeman could be in line to start this weekend. Meanwhile, Le'Veon Bell is expected to see added touches out of the backfield, and Ty'Son Williams should be active after being a healthy scratch Week 6. With Baltimore on bye in Week 8, Murray will target a potential return to action Nov. 7 against the Vikings.

Misses another practice Murray (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The Ravens' final Week 7 injury report will reveal whether Murray has any chance to play Sunday against the Bengals, but following a full week of DNPs, he's trending toward missing the contest. If so, Hensley indicates that Devonta Freeman could get his first start at RB for Baltimore, with Le'Veon Bell also in the mix and Ty'Son Williams a candidate to suit up this weekend after being inactive in Week 6.
OCTOBER 22, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Misses practice again Murray (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Impact Back-to-back DNPs leave Murray's status for Sunday's game against the Bengals cloudy, though his outlook on that front would improve with a return to practice in any capacity come Friday. If Murray ends up out or limited this weekend, added backfield touches would be available for Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and perhaps Ty'Son Williams.

Not practicing Wednesday Murray (ankle) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact Murray was forced out of last Sunday's win over the Chargers with the ankle injury. If he's not ready to go for the Ravens' Week 7 matchup with the Bengals, more work would be available for Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell, while Ty'Son Williams could rejoin the Ravens' backfield mix after having been a healthy inactive Week 6.

Impact Prior to his exit from the contest, Murray had logged nine carries for 44 yards and a TD, with two catches for 12 yards. With Murray banged up, Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell are in line to handle the Ravens' backfield duties versus Los Angeles.

FANTASY PLAYS: Players to start and sit for NFL Week 6

Cincinnati's Joe Burrow seems set to play in an indoor game against a Detroit Lions pass defense (which ranks 30th in adjusted pass defense, via numberFire’s metrics)
OCTOBER 14, 2021 • Associated Press
Just 30 yards Murray rushed six times for 17 yards and caught two of three targets for 13 yards in Monday night's 31-25 overtime win over the Colts.
Impact He started at tailback but got little going over the course of Monday's contest, due both to game flow -- the Ravens trailed by 19 at one point in the third quarter before mounting a remarkable comeback -- and the presence of teammates Ty'Son Williams and Devonta Freeman. Although Murray potentially could've added a touchdown to his tally had quarterback Lamar Jackson not kept the ball and fumbled it on a zone-read play near the goal line, the veteran back overall was underwhelming Monday. With neither Williams nor Freeman topping 35 scrimmage yards, however, the Ravens' backfield picture remains muddled, potentially enabling Murray to maintain his top place on the depth chart ahead of a Week 6 matchup versus the Chargers.

Jackson leads Ravens back to 31-25 OT win over Colts

Lamar Jackson threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Brown on the first possession of overtime to give the Baltimore Ravens a 31-25 victory over the Indianapolis Colts
OCTOBER 12, 2021 • Associated Press
Likely to start Monday Murray seems set to be the Ravens' starting running back Monday against the Colts, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Impact During pregame warmups, Murray was the No. 1 RB, while Ty'Son Williams and then Devonta Freeman mixed in behind him. On the season, Murray has been the most consistently used running back for the Ravens, who have been attempting to cover for season-ending injuries to J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee). Murray has averaged just 3.4 YPC on his 44 rushes, however, and he hasn't been targeted through four games. Meanwhile, Williams is back in the mix after his surprise scratch Week 4, and on the campaign he's been more efficient to the tune of 6.1 YPC on 27 runs and five catches for 45 yards on seven targets. Murray likely will be the lead back Monday, but Williams could steal some work in key situations.
