Strong finish to season Murray rushed 15 times for 103 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for 15 yards in the Broncos' 31-28 win over the Chargers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble r...
Impact The veteran running back closed out the season with another strong effort, and he posted a pair of 100-yard tallies in the last four games. Murray was an afterthought languishing on the Saints' practice squad earlier in the season, but a solid 11-carry, 57-yard, one-touchdown performance in Week 4 for New Orleans caught the eye of the Broncos, who were reeling from the loss of Javonte Williams (IR-knee) at the time. Murray went on thrive to the tune of 703 rushing yards and five touchdowns along with a 26-124 line through the air across 12 games in Denver, and although he'll be an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year and turns 33 later in January, his body of work this past season suggests he still has plenty of tread left on his tires.

Held in check by Chiefs Murray carried the ball 12 times for 56 yards and caught four of six targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Chiefs.
Impact Murray paced the Broncos' running backs in carries, handling the majority of work on the ground. Meanwhile, Chase Edmonds handled seven carries of his own for 34 yards while catching all three of his targets for 39 yards. Though Edmonds finished with more receiving yards, the fact that Murray was more involved in the passing game is certainly a boost to his fantasy value in Denver. Assuming he can continue to get most of the touches out of the backfield, the veteran will look to have more of an impact in Week 18 when the Broncos host the Chargers.

Latavius Murray bursts through KC defense for 19-yard run | Broncos at Chiefs Running back Latavius Murray breaks through Kansas City's defense for a 19-yard run during the Broncos' Week 17 game against the Chiefs.
JANUARY 1 • DENVERBRONCOS.COM
Limited on nine touches Murray rushed eight times for 34 yards and had one reception (three targets) for six yards in Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Rams.
Impact Murray led a committee of veteran backs in carries and rushing yards despite the paltry final line. The Broncos fell behind big early and had to abandon the run, which is not a formula conducive of success for a plodding power back. The return of Chase Edmonds (6/31/0) and the presence of Marlon Mack (4/22/0) hurts the veteran starter's value moving forward. Murray is still the preferred option in Denver's backfield, but his upside is limited heading into a matchup against Kansas City on Sunday.

Suits up versus Rams Murray (foot) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Impact After sitting out Thursday's practice, Murray returned to a limited session Friday and he'll give it a go Sunday. Assuming no in-game setbacks, he should continue pace Denver's rushing attack after having carried 24 times for 130 yards and a TD and catching one pass for 12 yards in the team's Week 15 win over the Cardinals. Also in the Broncos' Week 16 backfield mix are Marlon Mack and Chase Edmonds, who was activated off IR on Saturday, but Murray's strong effort versus Arizona should earn him enough touches versus Los Angeles to maintain fantasy utility.

Says he's ready to play Sunday Murray (foot), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, indicated after returning to a limited practice Friday that he's ready to play in the contest, Park...
Impact It's still worth verifying Murray's status ahead of Sunday's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff, but if the running back is able to play this weekend, he'd be in line to continue pace Denver's backfield on the heels of carrying 24 times for 130 yards and a touchdown and catching one pass for 12 yards in his team's Week 15 win over the Cardinals. Also in the Broncos' backfield mix versus Los Angeles will be Marlon Mack and quite possibly Chase Edmonds (ankle), who is a candidate to come off IR.

Listed as questionable for Week 16 Murray (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact Murray, who was limited Wednesday, sat out Thursday's practice, but he was back on the field Friday. With the Broncos kicking off at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, added context with regard to Murray's Week 16 status will ideally arrive before then. If Murray sits out or is limited versus Los Angeles, Marlon Mack and potentially Chase Edmonds (ankle) would be in line to see added backfield work for Denver.

Returns to practice Murray (foot) is practicing Friday, Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports reports.
Impact Murray sat out practice Thursday, but the Broncos said he was sitting as a precaution with the team practicing on turf. Friday's return to action is a step in the right direction, though the extent of Murray's participation has yet to be revealed. He's poised to take on the lead role Sunday against the Rams after a 24-carry outing in the Week 15 win over Arizona.

Misses practice Thursday Coach Nathaniel Hackett noted that part of the reason Murray (foot) didn't practice Thursday was that the Broncos were practicing inside on turf, Mike Klis of 9News Denver and Zac...
Impact Per Klis, Hackett hopes Murray can play Sunday against the Rams, a notion that would be supported by the running back's return to practice Friday, in any capacity. In the event that Murray is sidelined or limited versus Los Angeles, however, Marlon Mack and possibly Chase Edmonds (ankle) would be in line to see added work out of Denver's backfield in Week 16.
DECEMBER 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Won't practice Thursday Murray (foot) won't practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact Murray was listed as a limited participant Wednesday, but Denver head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the running back will be held out of Thursday's session entirely due to "some soreness" in his foot, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. While the mid-week downgrade in activity is a less-than-ideal development for Murray, he would be able to erase some of the concern about his status for Sunday's game against the Rams if he's able to practice in some capacity Friday. However, if Murray ends up sitting out or is available on in a limited capacity this weekend, Marlon Mack and Chase Edmonds (ankle) would be in line to see added work out of the Denver backfield.
DECEMBER 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as limited Wednesday Murray was listed as limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a foot injury.
Impact In this past Sunday's 24-15 win over the Cardinals, Murray logged 44 of 69 snaps on offense while carrying 24 times for 130 yards and a touchdown and catching one pass for 12 yards. The Broncos haven't indicated whether the foot issue is something Murray picked up in the Week 15 win or during Wednesday's practice, but his status is worth monitoring in any case as Sunday's game against the Rams approaches.
