Impact As expected, Joyner will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair his torn triceps. The Jets are extremely thin at safety with only Marcus Maye, Sheldrick Redwine and Adrian Colbert healthy.

Impact Joyner will undergo further testing to confirm the initial diagnosis, but the Jets fear they may lose him for the entire season. The 30-year-old signed with New York this offseason after spending two years with the Raiders. He has never missed more than six regular-season games in his seven-year career.
