Impact Harvell-Peel is only expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a hamstring injury, but after being waived with an injury designation he must be placed on injured reserve. Unless he can come to an injury settlement with the Texans Harvell-Peel will have to miss the upcoming season.

Waived with injury designation Harvell-Peel (hamstring) was waived with an injury designation by the Texans on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Impact Harvell-Peel is expected to miss the next 6-to-8 weeks due to a hamstring injury, per Wilson. If the cornerback goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll revert to IR.
