Targeted three times in win Hamler caught two of three targets for 52 yards and carried the ball once for nine yards in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Jaguars.
Impact Hamler's longest play of the contest was a 47-yard grab from quarterback Russell Wilson in the fourth quarter, ultimately leading to the game-winning score by running back Latavius Murray with just under two minutes left. Outside of this, it was another quiet performance for the 23-year-old wideout. Hamler, however, played 70 percent of the team's offensive snaps, good for his largest snap percentage of the season. If the speedster can continue to build a connection with Wilson, especially on deep balls, he has a chance to exploit quite a few favorable matchups for receivers down the stretch. This assumes that the Broncos' offense can take a step forward toward the high expectations many had for Denver entering the season. Hamler and the rest of the offense will have a Week 9 bye to figure that out before a matchup with the Titans in Week 10.

Catches one pass in loss Hamler caught one of four targets for four yards and carried the ball once for 14 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Jets.
Impact Hamler had another underwhelming outing for fantasy purposes, as quarterback Brett Rypien struggled to get the passing game going despite attempting 46 passes in the contest. Denver's offense has struggled to sustain long drives and put points on the board this season with Russell Wilson (hamstring), and Sunday was no different with a new signal caller at the helm. Hamler's four targets were his most of the season, but it's difficult to trust that his production will begin to climb substantially unless the offense starts to find its rhythm. With no signs of that at the moment, the 23-year-old wideout should remain off the fantasy radar. Wilson is trending toward a return in Week 8, so maybe he can provide a much needed spark when the Broncos take on the Jaguars in London. However, it's more likely that Hamler fails to find success outside of a big play or two, making him a risky start as Denver's No. 3 receiver.

Catches two passes in loss Hamler caught two of three targets for 44 yards in Monday's 19-16 overtime loss to the Chargers.
Impact Hamler's best moment in the contest came on a 47-yard grab with time winding down in the second quarter that eventually set up a field goal to give the Broncos a 13-10 lead at halftime. The speedy wideout has great potential as a playmaker, but Denver's offensive struggles so far this season have limited his opportunities thus far. Once one of the league's best deep ball throwers, quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) has struggled to connect downfield with his receivers consistently. Until the Broncos can sustain success on offense, Hamler should remain off the fantasy radar as the team's No. 3 receiver. The Broncos will host the Jets in Week 7.

Broncos OC: KJ Hamler has 'Earned the Right' for Bigger Role Are the Denver Broncos about to unleash the speed-demon KJ Hamler?
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • STAR-TELEGRAM.COM
Quiet in loss Hamler caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Thursday's 12-9 overtime loss to the Colts.
Impact Hamler recorded just one catch for the second straight week. Operating as the Broncos' No. 3 receiver, the 23-year-old played 53 percent of the team's offensive snaps behind both Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Denver continues to struggle offensively and has trouble sustaining long drives, leaving Hamler and the rest of the pass catchers fewer opportunities to make plays. For this reason, the speedy wideout is a risky bet for reliable fantasy production each week until the Broncos can turn around their offensive woes. Hamler will be difficult to trust when the Broncos visit the Chargers in Week 6.

Catches one pass in loss Hamler caught his only target for 55 yards in Sunday's 32-23 loss to the Raiders.
Impact Hamler's only catch came with just under eight minutes left in the fourth quarter as the Broncos tried to mount a comeback against the Raiders. The 55-yard completion to the wideout was Russell Wilson's longest of the day and set up the quarterback's three-yard rushing touchdown on the very next play to make it a one-score game. Hamler demonstrated his impressive speed on the play, but his athletic ability wasn't enough to earn him more than four snaps in the game. The 23-year-old played well behind fellow receivers Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Kendall Hinton. Hamler's lack of involvement in Denver's offense is a concerning trend for anyone hoping the speedster would carve out a significant role in the passing game. As the offense continues to grow together, it's possible Hamler could become more involved in the Broncos' offense. With that said, the veteran will be difficult to trust for fantasy purposes when the Broncos host the Colts in Week 5.

Not targeted in win Hamler failed to see a target in Sunday's 11-10 win over the 49ers.
Impact Hamler was a complete nonfactor on a day when the Broncos could've used a major offensive spark. The 23-year-old receiver has yet to record a catch in either of the two games he's appeared in. After playing 59 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps in Week 1 and sitting out in Week 2 for maintenance reasons with both knee and hip injuries, Hamler was on the field for just 26 percent of snaps in Week 3. Like most of Denver's skill position players, the third-year wideout has fallen victim to an offense that is struggling to find its rhythm. If and when that is fixed, Hamler will look to take advantage of his opportunities as a speedy target for one of the league's best deep ball throwers in Russell Wilson. Nonetheless, his lack of involvement in the passing game to this point makes him nothing more than a dart throw when the Broncos visit the Raiders in Week 4.

Back in action Sunday Hamler (knee/hip) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact As is fellow wideout Jerry Jeudy (ribs/shoulder), so it remains to be seen what kind of workload Hamler might see in his return to the mix after being sidelined Week 2 for maintenance purposes. For now, the 2020 second-rounder is behind Courtland Sutton and Jeudy on the Broncos' wideout depth chart, but if Hamler is able to gain chemistry with new franchise signal-caller Russell Wilson as the season progresses, his ability to stretch the field could prove to be a useful asset in Denver's passing game.

Questionable, but expects to play Hamler (knee/hip), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, told George Stoia III of The Denver Gazette on Friday that he expects to play Week 3.
Impact After seeing 59 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps in the team's season-opening loss at Seattle, Hamler was shelved Week 2 for maintenance purposes. This week, he followed up limited showings Wednesday and Thursday with an uncapped practice to wrap it up, saying afterward that he "had a good week" and "feels great." In any case, Hamler's availability won't be confirmed, one way or another, until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

Questionable for SNF Hamler (knee/hip) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact If Hamler plays, he could be in for an expanded role, as fellow wide receivers Jerry Jeudy (ribs) and Tyrie Cleveland (hamstring) also are questionable. Relying on Hamler will be risky in fantasy, though, as alternatives will be limited should he sit out because the Broncos don't play until Sunday night.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Remains limited at practice Hamler (knee/hip) was limited at practice again Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact Per George Stoia III of The Denver Gazette, Hamler indicated that he's been been dealing with a groin injury, which is part of why the wideout didn't play Week 2. At this stage, though, Hamler said he feels "excellent" and should be able to suit up Sunday night against the 49ers. If so, he could step into a key role in Denver's offense if Jerry Jeudy (ribs/shoulder) is out or limited this weekend.
