Piles up 92 yards
Cole caught three of four targets for 92 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Titans.
Impact
Cole was more involved with fellow wide receiver Elijah Moore (concussion) sitting this one out. The veteran wideout tied tight end Ryan Griffin for third on the team in targets with four, but Cole made the most of his opportunities. He caught a perfectly placed 54-yard pass from quarterback Zach Wilson in the third quarter before adding catches of nine and 29 yards in overtime.

Two catches in shutout loss
Cole caught both of his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 26-0 loss to Denver.
Impact
Cole registered his first two receptions as a member of the Jets. The veteran wide receiver produced New York's longest offensive play (23 yards) and finished just 11 receiving yards shy of Corey Davis' team-leading total, as rookie quarterback Zach Wilson threw for just 160 yards in the shutout loss. Playing time shouldn't be an issue for Cole since Elijah Moore exited this one with a concussion and Denzel Mims has been a healthy scratch two weeks in a row, but Cole's value remains limited given New York's offensive struggles.

Not targeted against Patriots
Cole (knee) wasn't targeted in Sunday's 25-6 loss to New England.
Impact
Cole suited up after missing the season opener, but his lack of involvement suggests he's still feeling the effects of his knee injury. If Cole's able to increase his practice participation in the upcoming week, he'll likely be more involved in the game plan against the Broncos in Week 3.

Suiting up Week 2
Cole (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Impact
A limited participant in practice throughout the week while he continued to manage the knee injury that sidelined him for the season-opening loss to the Panthers, Cole ultimately received the green light to make his Jets debut after checking out fine following a pregame evaluation. The extent of Cole's role in the Week 2 game plan is difficult to forecast, however, even with Jamison Crowder (groin) sitting out a second straight contest. While Corey Davis is locked in as the Jets' No. 1 outside receiver, Cole may have to fend off Braxton Berrios for work out of the slot sans Crowder. Cole also has the ability to play outside, so he could challenge rookie Elijah Moore for reps if the Jets prefer to deploy Berrios as their top slot option.

Game-time call against Pats
Cole (knee) logged a third consecutive limited practice Friday and is questionable for Sunday's game against New England, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Cole has been limited all week after missing the season opener due to this knee injury. He's expected to start on the outside if cleared to play against the Patriots after rookie second-round pick Elijah Moore flopped in his NFL debut while helping fill in for Cole and Jamison Crowder (groin) in Week 1 against the Panthers. Cimini relays that coach Robert Saleh sounded optimistic about the status of both Cole and Crowder, despite suggesting that the two profile as game-time decisions.

Still limited
Cole (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Meanwhile, fellow WR Jamison Crowder came off the reserve/COVID-19 list but was limited Thursday due to a groin injury. Friday's practice therefore will determine if the duo, who missed Week 1 action, will approach Sunday's game against the Patriots with any sort of injury designation. If both players are available this weekend, Elijah Moore and Braxton Berrios likely would see reduced roles Week 2.

Limited at practice
Cole (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact
Cole was added to the injury report last Thursday and ended up being a game-time decision (ultimately inactive) for Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers. He now looks questionable for Week 2 against the Patriots, while slot man Jamison Crowder is expected to come off the reserve/COVID-19 list at some point this week. Cole likely will be the third or fourth option at WR if/when everyone is healthy, depending on the progress of young wide receivers Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims.

Expected to practice
Cole (knee) is on track to return to practice this week, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Impact
The Jets are also expected to get Jamison Crowder (illness) back in action, after he and Cole were both sidelined for the team's Week 1 loss to the Panthers. Wednesday's practice report will provide added context with regard to where Cole is at in his recovery from a knee issue that kept him out for the opener.

Sitting out Week 1
Cole (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Randy Lange of the Jets' official site reports.
Impact
Considered a true game-time call heading into Sunday, Cole was ultimately ruled out after the Jets evaluated him during a pregame workout. With Cole's Jets debut delayed by the knee injury and Jamison Crowder (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Elijah Moore, Braxton Berrios and Denzel Mims should all be in line for enhanced snap and target counts behind No. 1 receiver Corey Davis.
