Two grabs against Vikings Raymond secured two of two targets for 19 yards during Sunday's win over Minnesota.
Impact After seeing a massive role reduction last week in the return of Josh Reynolds and the debut of Jameson Williams, Raymond saw another dip in playing time Sunday at the benefit of Williams. With Reynolds likely to maintain his spot as the No. 3 wideout given his productivity in the offense this year, Raymond stands to lose more and more snaps if Detroit wants to keep getting more out of Williams.
DECEMBER 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Active in Week 14 Raymond (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Impact After a week in which he was capped at one limited practice Friday due to an illness, Raymond will be available to the Lions offense for the 13th time in as many contests this season. Having said that, his workload has experienced a drastic reduction with DJ Chark again operating at full capacity and rookie first-rounder Jameson Williams making his pro debut last Sunday. Consequently, Raymond may have to take advantage of his sparse targets, which so far have gone for 8.3 YPT in 2022.
DECEMBER 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable, likely to play Sunday Raymond (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Impact After sitting out the Lions' first two practice sessions of the week, Raymond returned to the field Friday in a limited capacity. While Raymond wasn't able to avoid taking a designation into the weekend, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press relays that the receiver is expected to play. However, with the Lions' receiving corps at close to full strength and with rookie first-round Jameson Williams likely to see at least a slight uptick in opportunities after playing only eight snaps on offense in last week's win over the Jaguars in his NFL debut, Raymond's playing time may only drop from here. Raymond already saw his snap count take a significant last week, when he was on the field for just 16 percent of the Lions' offensive plays as the team's No. 4 wideout.
DECEMBER 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Remains sidelined at practice Raymond (illness) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Impact The Lions have held Raymond out of both sessions so far to begin Week 14 prep, giving him just one more chance to take part in drills before the team potentially hands him a designation for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Even if he's able to suit up this weekend, though, he's taken a fall down Detroit's WR depth chart with the recent debut of rookie first-round pick Jameson Williams. All of Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds and Williams appear to be ahead of Raymond at the position.
DECEMBER 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Misses practice with illness Raymond missed Wednesday's practice with an illness.
Impact Raymond has a few days to get healthy before Sunday's matchup with Minnesota, though he's only the fourth or fifth wide receiver now that DJ Chark, Jameson Williams and Josh Reynolds all are healthy. Chark and Reynolds saw most of the playing time alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown in Sunday's win over Jacksonville, with Raymond playing only 13 snaps and Williams taking eight in his NFL debut. Prior to that, Raymond had played more than three-fourths of Detroit's offensive snaps in seven straight games, averaging 3.7 catches for 46.9 yards on 5.1 targets in that stretch. He still hasn't scored a touchdown this season even with 382 receiving yards, 218 return yards and 24 rushing yards on his ledger.
DECEMBER 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Taking backseat Raymond caught two of two targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 41-14 win over Jacksonville.
Impact Raymond logged just 16 percent of the offensive snaps with Josh Reynolds (79) and Jameson Williams (11) getting back to full health. With Williams' role only set to grow, Raymond could be the odd man out going forward. Up next for the group is a Week 14 matchup with Minnesota.
DECEMBER 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Totals 35 yards Raymond caught four of six targets for 35 yards during Thursday's loss to Buffalo.
Impact Despite DJ Chark (73 percent of offensive snaps) reverting to his prominent early-season role, Raymond (79 percent) remained a fixture in the offensive lineup alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown (88 percent). However, he yet again came a long ways from producing a fantasy-worthy stat line, and Raymond remains without a touchdown since the 2021 regular-season finale. With Jameson Williams (knee) a threat to steal snaps in the coming weeks, no fantasy managers should be counting on Raymond for statistical production down the stretch.

Three catches against Giants Raymond caught three of seven targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 31-18 win over the Giants.
Impact The return of DJ Chark (ankle) corresponded with Raymond matching his season high in targets, but Raymond put up the lowest yardage of any game this season in which he had at least four looks. However, until Chark and/or Jameson Williams (knee) is up to speed in the offense, Raymond won't be hurting for snaps. Next up is a Week 12 matchup with Buffalo.

Giants look for 8th win as they host improving Lions

NOVEMBER 17, 2022 • Associated Press
Catches three passes Raymond secured three of three targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 31-30 win over Chicago.
Impact The 5-foot-7 wideout led all Detroit receivers in playing time with 49 snaps on offense, but he was a secondary target for Jared Goff behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. Raymond also has yet to find the end zone while only being targeted twice within the red zone all season. Even though he should maintain his high slotting on the depth chart in the continued absences of DJ Chark (ankle), Jameson Williams (knee) and Josh Reynolds (back), Raymond has not shown much upside in his six games with a prominent role.
NOVEMBER 16, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Low production against Packers Raymond caught three of three targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 15-9 win over Green Bay.
Impact With Josh Reynolds (back), DJ Chark (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot) sidelined, Raymond again logged nearly every offensive snap alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown. While this is Raymond's lowest output since he started becoming a big part of the offense in Week 4, Detroit somehow only needed to pass 26 times to win against a Green Bay defense that is stronger against the pass than the run. Raymond should have a good chance to rebound in Week 10 against Chicago, especially if Reynolds remains out.
NOVEMBER 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Another productive outing Raymond caught three of four targets for 76 yards during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.
Impact While he has yet to find the end zone in 2022, Raymond again is putting together a solid campaign as a role player for an injury-ravaged Lions receiving corps. Even though Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift are back in commission to steal targets, Raymond should continue to handle a large amount of snaps for Detroit while DJ Chark (ankle) and Jameson Williams (knee) get back into game shape. Up next is a Week 9 matchup against a Packers secondary that is allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game (174.8) this season.

HIGHLIGHT: Goff dials launch codes to Raymond for 43-yard gain Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff throws a 43-yard completion to wide receiver Kalif Raymond.
OCTOBER 30, 2022 • DETROITLIONS.COM
Totals 75 yards Raymond caught five of six targets for 75 yards during Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Cowboys.
Impact With DJ Chark (absence) sidelined, the second-quarter injury to Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) effectively threw Raymond into the No. 2 wideout role behind Josh Reynolds. Raymond not only delivered from a receiving standpoint, but he also threw a memorable block at one point as well. With Chark set to miss to miss at least the next three games and Jameson Williams (knee) still on the NFI list, Raymond could again play a significant role on offense depending on whether St. Brown can clear concussion protocol in time for next Sunday's matchup with Miami.

Lions hoping healthy running game can help salvage season

The Detroit Lions are 1-4 with one of the worst defenses in the league and Jared Goff is too mistake-prone to save them
OCTOBER 13, 2022 • Associated Press
Snags five passes Raymond caught five of seven targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 29-0 loss to New England.
Impact Despite Amon-Ra St. Brown returning for this game, the absences of DJ Chark (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot) allowed Raymond to easily log a new season high in snaps. While this allowed the wideout to put together a modestly productive fantasy outing in PPR contexts, the 5-foot-8 Raymond didn't really do any real damage to a Patriots defense that largely kept the Lions in their own territory for most of the game. With Chark possibly returning after Detroit's Week 6 bye, Raymond could easily return to seeing low offensive snap counts in Week 7 against Dallas.
