Totals 37 yards Raymond caught six of seven targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 34-11 loss to Cincinnati.
Impact Raymond tied D'Andre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown for second place amongst Lions players in targets, but he was bottled up alongside everyone else not named T.J. Hockenson. With Quintez Cephus sidelined and Tyrell Williams (concussion) a question mark to return in the near future, Raymond should continue to handle a decent role in the Lions offense, though his upside will continue to be severely capped by the limitations of quarterback Jared Goff.

Blanked by Vikings Raymond saw two targets but did not have a catch during Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Vikings.
Impact Raymond's biggest contribution came on a punt return, and he otherwise watched Amon-Ra St. Brown rack up seven catches with Quintez Cephus (shoulder) sidelined. While Cephus seems set to miss time, Tyrell Williams (concussion) is eligible to return from IR in Week 6 against the Bengals. However, his possible absence could allow Raymond, who averaged 5.5 targets entering the game, to approach the season-high 10 targets he saw in Week 3.

First multi-TD game of career Raymond caught three of six targets for 46 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Bears.
Impact It was a big day for Raymond, who saw 10 targets last week and previously hadn't seen pay dirt since 2019. His first score came on a short pass near the goal line while his second came on a 25-yard bomb thanks to broken coverage on the Bears' part. While Quintez Cephus seems to be emerging as the top wide receiver in the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion), the 5-foot-6 Raymond is holding his own as the other starting option. However, it may be hard for him to see double-digit targets or multiple TDs again once Williams returns.

Bears, winless Lions try to bounce back from rough losses

The Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions hope to bounce back from losses that were gut wrenching for different reasons
SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 • Associated Press
Targeted 10 times in loss Raymond (thigh) caught six of 10 targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Raymond stepped up as the top performer in the Lions' underwhelming wide receiver group with Tyrell Williams (concussion) on IR, leading the team in both targets and receiving yards. With tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D'Andre Swift both above him in the passing game pecking order, Raymond will be no better than a flex consideration against the tough Bears defense in Week 4.
SEPTEMBER 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
No upgrade in activity Thursday Raymond (thigh) remained a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
Impact Following Monday's loss to Green Bay, the Lions held a walk-through session Wednesday for their first Week 3 practice, with Raymond being listed as limited on the first injury report. Detroit held a more traditional practice Thursday, but Raymond wasn't able to increase his activity. Provided he upgrades to full participation Friday, Raymond should avoid taking an injury designation into the matchup with the Ravens on Thursday, when he should once again be headed for a sizable snap count. Raymond played 75 and 63 percent of the Lions' offensive plays in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively, but he drew only six targets between those contests to finish with five receptions for 68 yards.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Still limited at practice Raymond (thigh) was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough.
Impact As he was on the Lions' final Week 2 injury report, Raymond logged a capped session Wednesday due to a thigh issue. He proceeded to be active this past Monday in Green Bay en route to two catches (on two targets) for 18 yards while logging a 63-percent share of the offensive snaps. Tyrell Williams isn't expected to be available Sunday against the Ravens, which again would thrust Raymond into a large role. Still, an active Raymond would be competing with fellow wide receivers Quintez Cephus, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Trinity Benson for reps.
SEPTEMBER 22, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Little production in starting role Raymond caught two of two targets for 18 yards during Monday's 35-17 loss to the Packers.
Impact Raymond was expected to serve as the No. 1 receiver with Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined, but he popped up on the injury report late in the week with a thigh injury. While Raymond was in the starting lineup despite being listed as questionable to play, he ultimately finished a distant second in snaps behind Quintez Cephus, who led Lions wideouts in nearly all receiving categories. It's not clear how long Williams could remain sidelined, but Raymond would figure to log a majority of the snaps if Williams can't suit up for Detroit's Week 3 matchup with Baltimore.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Playing Week 2 Raymond (thigh) is listed as active Monday in Green Bay.
Impact Raymond didn't show up on the Lions' injury report until Saturday, when he was listed as a limited participant due to a thigh injury. During pregame warmups, he was seen testing out his left leg, on which he had a compression sleeve, per Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. Raymond will be allowed to give it a go Week 2, after turning a 75-percent share of the offensive snaps into three catches (on four targets) for 50 yards and one carry for nine yards in the team's season opener versus the 49ers.

Lions' Jamaal Williams ready for his return to Green Bay

Detroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams returns to Green Bay on Monday night to face his former team for the first time
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • Associated Press
Surprise add to injury report Raymond (thigh) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Packers.
Impact Raymond surprisingly appeared on the team's injury report Saturday with a reported thigh injury. With Tyrell Williams (concussion) already ruled out ahead of Monday's affair, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Quintez Cephus and Trinity Benson could be the team's top three pass catchers if Raymond is unable to play.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Totals 50 yards Raymond caught three of four passes for 50 yards during Sunday's 41-33 loss to the 49ers.
Impact Raymond ultimately led all Lions receivers in snaps after Tyrell Williams (undisclosed) headed to the locker room at the start of the third quarter. While he finished just sixth in targets on a day when Jared Goff peppered his running backs and tight ends, Raymond at least was on the receiving end of one of Goff's best passes of the game. Regardless of Williams' status for Week 2 against the Packers, the 5-foot-8 receiver seems locked into a key role within the Lions' receiving corps.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2021 • Associated Press
Held out of preseason finale Raymond didn't play in Friday's preseason game against Indianapolis.
Impact It might be taken as a sign he's made the team, with Raymond reportedly part of Detroit's wide-open competition for roles at wide receiver. It could get even messier with Tyrell Williams now bothered by a groin injury, but Raymond wouldn't figure to see many targets even if he were to land in a starting job.
AUGUST 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Rested in second preseason game Raymond did not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact After logging as many snaps in the preseason opener as No. 1 wideout Tyrell Williams, Raymond was the lone receiver to join Williams and starting quarterback Jared Goff in getting rested Saturday. However, Breshad Perriman, the starting complement to Williams on Detroit's current depth chart, perhaps only played because he missed the opener with a hip injury. Meanwhile, the reps given to rookie standout Amon-Ra St. Brown certainly were a product of his youth rather than his need to prove anything. In any case, Raymond clearly seems to be an important part of the Lions' plans this year. His preseason may be over, but look for Raymond to take snaps on offense and as a return man when the Lions take on San Francisco in Week 1 of the regular season.
