Poor chemistry with backup QB Reynolds caught two of seven targets for 36 yards during Sunday's 20-16 loss to Atlanta.

Impact Reynolds caught 13 of 18 targets over the past three games with Jared Goff (COVID-19) under center, but the chemistry wasn't there with backup QB Tim Boyle under center. Instead, Amon-Ra St. Brown kept rolling in an underneath slot role that has earned him 11 targets in each of the past four weeks. While Reynolds should remain Detroit's top downfield threat down the stretch, expectations for his production should be dampened if Goff is unable to return in Week 17 against Seattle.

Impact As he did last week, Reynolds followed up three straight limited listings on injury reports and a questionable designation with active standing once game day arrived. Only this time, he'll be operating with Tim Boyle instead of Jared Goff (illness), who remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list. In his only NFL start back in Week 11 at Cleveland, Boyle mustered 77 yards on 23 pass attempts, so Reynolds and the rest of the Lions receivers may be in store for subdued performances.

Gets Week 16 questionable tag The Lions list Reynolds (thigh) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Impact Reynolds was able to practice in a limited capacity all week, which seemingly bodes well for his chances of getting the green light to play Sunday, despite his designation. Rather than the thigh issue, the more troubling development for Reynolds' Week 16 outlook is the likelihood that Tim Boyle will be stepping in at quarterback for regular starter Jared Goff (illness), who isn't expected to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list prior to game day. Boyle managed only 77 passing yards on 23 attempts in his first career NFL start Week 11 against the Browns, a wretched performance that makes it difficult to feel optimistic about any of the Lions' pass catchers' odds of producing fantasy-friendly lines versus Atlanta.

Impact Reynolds was limited for the second straight day and the fourth consecutive practice overall, but the Lions have yet to suggest the thigh issue will put him at risk of sitting out Sunday in Atlanta. He concluded last week with a pair of limited practices and was listed as questionable ahead of the Lions' game against the Cardinals, but he suited up and finished with six receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in Detroit's upset victory. So long as he continues to practice in some fashion Friday, Reynolds should be in good shape to play against the Falcons, even if he's listed as questionable again.

Impact Reynolds capped last week with back-to-back limited sessions and was handed a questionable designation for this past Sunday's game against Arizona. He proceeded to up and handle a slightly reduced workload (63 percent of offensive snaps) on his way to hauling in all six targets for 68 yards and one touchdown in the 30-12 win. Reynolds will have two more chances this week to bump up to full, or else potentially risk entering another weekend with a game-day designation.

Second TD of season Reynolds caught six of six targets for 68 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 30-12 win over Arizona.

Impact Settling in as a top option in the passing offense, Reynolds now has five targets and 50 receiving yards in four straight games. While Amon-Ra St. Brown is stealing the spotlight with his large role in the underneath passing game, Reynolds' perimeter role is less likely to be affected by the potential return of pass-catching running backs D'Andre Swift (shoulder) and Jamaal Williams (illness) in the near future. In any case, the entire Lions' passing offense will have a solid Week 16 matchup against a Falcons defense that has allowed the 26th-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year.

He's been starting and handling an every-down role for the Lions, averaging 2.5 catches for 47.8 yards on 5.0 targets over the past four games. An absence this Sunday would free up snaps for Kalif Raymond, and possibly Tom Kennedy, KhaDarel Hodge or Trinity Benson.

Impact Reynolds got open for a number of decent gains and ultimately finished third in targets behind T.J. Hockenson and rookie receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who set season highs in nearly every receiving category. However, St. Brown primarily worked underneath whereas Reynolds again seemed like the top perimeter option. While the floor is low for any receiver in this poor Lions offense, Reynolds seems seems to be emerging as Detroit's highest-upside fantasy option outside of Hockenson and D'Andre Swift (shoulder).

Impact Reynolds started the month as a healthy scratch in Tennessee but has finished it as arguably Detroit's No. 1 wide receiver. While his upside figures to be capped as long as Jared Goff is throwing him passes, Reynolds at least seems to have a strong rapport with the former No. 1 overall pick thanks to the four years they spent together in Los Angeles. Should he continue to handle a large market share within Detroit's receiving corps going forward, it's possible that Reynolds could become a respectable fantasy contributor down the stretch.
