INJURIES

Limited by back injury Reynolds was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a back injury.
Impact Previously, Reynolds tended to ankle and knee issues this season, but neither health concern kept him from being able to play, as exemplified by him logging between 72 and 91 percent of the offensive snaps in the Lions' seven games to date. Even though he's now contending with a back injury, he still was able to mix into drills to kick off Week 9 prep, but his status nonetheless should be monitored ahead of Sunday's contest against the Packers.

Drops potential touchdown Reynolds caught two of six targets for 14 yards during Sunday's loss to Miami.
Impact Reynolds had a quiet day that could have been much more productive had he not dropped a surefire touchdown at the end of the first half or been able to secure a difficult catch for another potential touchdown at the end of the second half. However, with DJ Chark (ankle) and Jameson Williams (knee) still sidelined, the opportunities should continue to be there for Reynolds in future weeks. The Texas A&M product will look to get back on track Week 9 against Green Bay.
OCTOBER 31, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Ready for Week 8 matchup Reynolds (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Miami, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact Reynolds, RB D'Andre Swift and TE T.J. Hockenson all are cleared from the final injury report, while target-hogging slot man Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) is listed as questionable but expected to play. Reynolds topped 80 yards in three straight games before a Week 6 bye, only to sink to one catch for eight yards on two targets in the Week 7 loss to Dallas. He still has solid averages for the season -- 4.0 catches for 57.2 yards and 0.33 TDs on 6.0 targets per game -- and should stay locked in as a starter for at least another month with DJ Chark (ankle) on injured reserve and Jameson Williams (NFI - knee) unlikely to be ready before December.
OCTOBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Back in limited capacity Reynolds (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
Impact This follows a DNP on Wednesday, so Reynolds is making some progress through the knee injury that's impacting him for a second week in a row. While he was able to play through the issue and earn 79 percent of the offensive snaps this past Sunday at Dallas, he was targeted just twice en route to one eight-yard catch. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Reynolds goes into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Dolphins. With Amon-Ra St. Brown logging back-to-back limited sessions this week as he makes his way through the concussion protocol, there's a chance an active Reynolds is the Lions' No. 1 wide receiver Sunday.
OCTOBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Still bothered by ankle Reynolds (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Reynolds played through the ankle injury Weeks 4-5 and topped 80 yards in both games, but he doesn't seem to have benefitted from a Week 6 bye, managing only two targets and eight yards in a loss to Dallas this past Sunday. The 27-year-old did play 80 percent of offensive snaps in the Week 7 loss, and he'll have a better matchup this Sunday at home against the Dolphins. With DJ Chark (ankle) on injured reserve, Amon-Ra St. Brown in concussion protocol and Jameson Williams (knee) reportedly out at least another month, Reynolds should see plenty of snaps for as long as he can avoid setbacks with the lingering ankle injury.
OCTOBER 26, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Low usage despite St. Brown's exit Reynolds caught one of two targets for eight yards during Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Cowboys.
Impact After seeing 28 targets over the previous three games, Reynolds was curiously unused on a day that Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) left early to join DJ Chark (ankle) on the sidelines. Instead, Kalif Raymond led the way among Lions receivers as Jared Goff slowly worked his way into scoring position before turning the ball over on four occasions. If St. Brown needs to miss time, Reynolds would slot in as the Detroit's clear No. 1 option at wideout in Week 8 against Miami.
OCTOBER 23, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Available Sunday Reynolds (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Dallas.
Impact Prior to the Lions' Week 6 bye, Reynolds gutted out a sprained ankle for two games, combining for 18 targets during that stretch. Now tending to a knee issue post-respite, he managed just one limited practice Friday, but it was enough to gain clearance for game action. He thus will work behind the team's top wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, but Reynolds won't have to contend with DJ Chark (ankle, IR) for looks, meaning he again should be a regular option for quarterback Jared Goff.
OCTOBER 23, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Deemed questionable Reynolds (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Dallas.
Impact Reynolds returned to practice Friday as a limited participant, after missing the first two official sessions coming out of a bye week. He's been dealing with the same injury since Week 3 and nonetheless has three consecutive performances of more than 80 receiving yards, but the lack of practice time this week means fantasy managers shouldn't assume anything ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. While the matchup and lingering ankle injury are far from ideal, Reynolds should be the team's top perimeter threat if he plays with fellow wideout DJ Chark (ankle) set to miss a third straight game.
OCTOBER 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Remains out at practice Reynolds (knee) didn't practice Thursday.
Impact Before the Lions' Week 6 bye, Reynolds played through a sprained ankle for two games. After the respite, he's now tending to a knee injury, which has kept him out of both sessions this week. He'll have one more chance Friday to put himself on a path to play Sunday in Dallas, but in a Detroit receiving corps that includes the banged-up DJ Chark (ankle), quarterback Jared Goff may have limited options at the position this weekend (Amon-Ra St. Brown, Kalif Raymond and Tom Kennedy are the only healthy WRs on the active roster).

Prescott set for return as Cowboys seek bounce back vs Lions

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is ready to return from a fractured thumb on his throwing hand against Detroit on Sunday
OCTOBER 20, 2022 • Associated Press
Dealing with knee issue Reynolds was a non-participant at practice Wednesday due to a knee injury.
Impact While Reynolds gutted through a sprained ankle in the Lions' last two games before a Week 6 bye, he's now dealing with a new health concern. His status thus should be monitored Thursday and Friday to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's contest at Dallas. DJ Chark (ankle) also didn't practice Wednesday, so the team's healthy wide receivers behind top option Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) are Kalif Raymond and Tom Kennedy.
OCTOBER 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Bothered by ankle after bye Reynolds (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday but was able to do work off to the side, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Reynolds played through an ankle sprain the last two games before Detroit's Week 6 bye and caught 13 of 18 targets for 173 yards and a touchdown. In fact, he had 269 yards and 28 targets in the final three games before the bye, seeing extra work because fellow Lions wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and DJ Chark suffered more serious ankle injuries. St. Brown returned to a limited role Week 5 and now is practicing after the Week 7 bye, but the Lions are still banged up at the position with both Chark and Reynolds held out of practice Wednesday. They also get a tough matchup this week, heading to Dallas to face a Cowboys defense that ranks third in points allowed and eighth in yardage.
OCTOBER 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Steps up again Reynolds caught six of 10 targets for 92 yards during Sunday's 29-0 loss to the Patriots.
Impact Reynolds was the only bright spot of a Lions offense that was hampered by the absences of D'Andre Swift (shoulder) and DJ Chark (shoulder) not to mention the limitations imposed by Amon-Ra St. Brown's ankle injury. While the recent production has been impressive for the supposed No. 3 receiver, increased health from his teammates will likely prevent Reynolds from maintaining the 9.5 target's he's seen over the past two weeks coming out of Detroit's Week 6 bye. However, it's still good to know that Reynolds could be a serviceable fantasy option in the event Chark or St. Brown miss more games.
OCTOBER 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Active in Week 5 Reynolds (ankle) is active for Sunday's game at New England.
Impact For a second consecutive contest, Reynolds will play through an ankle issue after managing a pair of limited practices. He'll welcome back Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) for the first time since Week 3, while running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) and DJ Chark (ankle) again are sitting out. Reynolds thus is set to serve as the Lions' No. 2 WR, and if St. Brown is at all inhibited, the former may be in line for a significant workload following a combined 13-177-1 line on 18 targets the last two outings.
OCTOBER 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Likely available Sunday Reynolds (ankle), who is listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact Reynolds played through the same ankle injury in Week 4, when he finished with seven receptions for 81 yards and a score against Seattle. DJ Chark is set to miss another week, while Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable. As such, if Reynolds is indeed available, he could garner another hefty target count. However, despite the optimism, fantasy managers should still confirm his status ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff before locking him into lineups.
OCTOBER 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Deemed questionable Reynolds (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against New England.
Impact Reynolds seems on track to suit up, after playing through the same injury last week -- with a season-best 7-81-1 receiving line against Seattle -- and then managing limited practices Thursday and Friday this week. Fellow wideout DJ Chark will miss another week with his ankle injury, while Amon-Ra St. Brown is listed as questionable with his.
OCTOBER 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Increases practice activity Reynolds (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Impact Reynolds is one of four receivers on Detroit's Week 5 injury report, but he at least appears to be in a better spot on the health front than Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot), who were both non-participants in practice for the second day in a row. Unless St. Brown takes a step forward in his practice activity Friday to improve his chances of putting an end to a one-game absence Sunday at New England, Reynolds could be one of the top candidates to absorb the No. 1 wideout's vacated target volume. Reynolds will first have to move past his own ankle concern, but while St. Brown was out for last week's 48-45 shootout loss to the Seahawks, Reynolds drew eight targets and turned those looks into seven receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown.
OCTOBER 6, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Misses practice Reynolds (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Impact Reynolds played through an ankle injury in Sunday's 48-45 loss to Seattle and caught seven of eight targets for 81 yards and a touchdown. He could see that type of volume again this Sunday in New England if he's able to play through his ankle injury and if both Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and DJ Chark (ankle) can't manage to do the same.

Lions looking for a fix for the team's defensive woes

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell says there’s a recurring theme for his team’s defensive struggles this season
OCTOBER 3, 2022 • Associated Press
Records seven grabs, TD Sunday Reynolds brought in seven of eight targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 48-45 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
Impact Jared Goff's former Rams teammate once again displayed some strong chemistry with his quarterback, stepping up with the top reception, receiving yardage and target totals among the team's depleted wideout corps. Reynolds found the end zone for the second time this season as well, scoring on a three-yard touchdown grab early in the fourth quarter. Reynolds has a clear-cut complementary role in the Lions' passing attack even when the receiving corps is at full health, but he could be in for another elevated workload in a Week 5 road matchup against the Patriots if one of Amon-Ra St. Brown or DJ Chark sit out that contest with their respective ankle injuries.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Active in Week 4 Reynolds (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Impact With both Amon-Ra St. Brown and DJ Chark sidelined due to their respective ankle injuries, Reynolds will be available to the Lions offense as one of the top options at wide receiver. After logging back-to-back limited sessions on his own ankle issue this week, Reynolds will look to replicate his success from last Sunday at Minnesota, where he hauled in six of 10 targets for 96 yards.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as questionable Reynolds (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Impact DJ Chark (ankle) also is listed as questionable and is expected to play, while Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) has been ruled out. It was rather unfortunate for the Lions to see each of their top three WRs suffer an ankle injury in the come-from-ahead loss to Minnesota last week, but it does seem Chark and Reynolds are more likely than not to play. If so, both get improved target-share projections with St. Brown sidelined, while Kalif Raymond and Quintez Cephus figure to pick up most of the standout slot man's usual snaps.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Bumps up practice participation Reynolds (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
Impact Though Reynolds and tight end T.J. Hockenson (foot) returned to the practice field in some capacity Thursday after sitting out Wednesday, the Lions could still be without multiple key options in the passing game Sunday against the Seahawks. All of Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle), DJ Chark (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder) sat out Thursday's session, leaving their respective statuses in greater question than those of Reynolds or Hockenson. Assuming he can move past his own injury concern, Reynolds could find himself in prime position to build on the 6-96-0 receiving line on 10 targets that he turned in during Detroit's Week 3 loss to Minnesota.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Misses practice Reynolds (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Both Reynolds and Amon-Ra St. Brown will miss practice after suffering minor ankle injuries in a loss to the Vikings on Sunday. The Lions have Kalif Raymond and Quintez Cephus as depth wideouts if Reynolds and/or St. Brown can't play this weekend against Seattle.
