Let go by Patriots New England waived Hunter (undisclosed) from the active/non-football-injury list Monday.

Impact Hunter was placed on the NFI list last Friday, but the Patriots' transaction announcement doesn't list him as being waived with an injury designation. If already cleared, Hunter will have a chance to go through waivers before searching for a different team. Otherwise, the undrafted rookie will revert to the reserve/NFI list in a forthcoming transaction.

Goes on active/NFI list The Patriots placed Hunter (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Hunter was signed by New England as an undrafted free agent in May after he played six seasons with Georgia State. The nature of the injury that landed him on the NFI list is unclear, but the 24-year-old will be able to return to practice when the issue is resolved.
