INJURIES

Misses practice Wednesday Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) missed the Eagles' practice Wednesday.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside suffered an ankle injury in the Eagles' Week 8 win over the Lions. The receiver was unable to practice Wednesday, which isn't a good sign for Philadelphia's receiving core as Jalen Reagor is also dealing with an ankle injury. Expect Quez Watkins and Greg Ward to see large roles Sunday against the Chargers if Arcega-Whiteside is unable to suit up for Week 9 action.
NOVEMBER 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable to return Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) is questionable to return Sunday against Detroit.
Impact The potential loss of Arcega-Whiteside will test the team's depth at the position, as Jalen Reagor (ankle) has been downgraded to out. Quez Watkins and Greg Ward are expected to see an uptick in snaps as a result.
OCTOBER 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Active for Week 8 Arcega-Whiteside (back) is active for Sunday's matchup with the Lions, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside injured his back making a special-teams tackle and had to leave the Eagles' Week 7 matchup with the Raiders early, but he will return to action in Week 8. However, the 2019 second-round pick is unlikely to be involved in the Eagles' offensive offense game plan, as he's yet to have a pass thrown his way this season.
OCTOBER 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable against Lions Arcega-Whiteside (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside suffered the back injury while making a special-teams tackle in Week 7 against the Raiders. Even if he plays, Philadelphia's disappointing 2019 second-round pick is unlikely to have much of a role on offense, as he's yet to have a pass thrown his way this season and has just 14 catches in his 31-game career.
OCTOBER 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Won't return Sunday Arcega-Whiteside (back) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Raiders.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside appeared to suffer the injury while recording a tackle on punt coverage in the third quarter of Sunday's contest. The 24-year-old wideout hasn't been a part of the Eagles' offensive game plan this season, so his absence shouldn't affect their rotations.
OCTOBER 24, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ankle remains bothersome Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside's ankle has been barking since he hurt it in the season opener, but he was able to play through the injury in Week 2 and will likely dress Monday against the Cowboys barring a setback. That said, his limited involvement in the Eagles' run-heavy offense coupled with the lack of replacement options in the event JJAW sits means you're probably better off looking elsewhere in search of wide receiver help this week.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Likely to play Sunday Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Friday, but he is good to go for Sunday's contest against the 49ers.
Impact After not practicing Wednesday, Arcega-Whiteside was a limited participant Thursday and Friday, but it appears he will suit up for Week 2. The 24-year-old played 16 offensive snaps and didn't receive a target during the season opener.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Practices in limited fashion Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice.
Impact The 24-year-old didn't participate at practice Wednesday due to the ankle injury, but his return Thursday should give him a chance to suit up Week 2. Arcega-Whiteside suffered the ankle injury during Sunday's season opener against Atlanta -- he wasn't targeted on 16 offensive snaps -- but it doesn't appear to be a serious issue.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Held out of practice Wednesday Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside departed the Eagles' season opener this past Sunday in Atlanta in the fourth quarter due to the ankle injury. Head coach Nick Sirianni considered Arcega-Whiteside day-to-day as of Monday, but the third-year wide receiver kicked off Week 2 prep with his right ankle taped and on a side field with the training staff, per Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger. Fortunately for Arcega-Whiteside, he has two more practices to prove his health before the team potentially gives him a designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Considered day-to-day Coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that Arcega-Whiteside (ankle) is considered day-to-day, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside exited Sunday's season opener in the fourth quarter, but it doesn't appear as though he's dealing with a long-term injury. The 24-year-old's status for Sunday's Week 2 contest against the 49ers will likely come into focus based on his participation in practice this week.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Injures ankle Week 1 Arcega-Whiteside sustained an ankle injury during Sunday's game in Atlanta, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact Prior to his exit in the fourth quarter, Arcega-Whiteside's only contribution to the box score was an assisted tackle on punt coverage. Meanwhile, the Eagles' top wide receiver trio of DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor and Quez Watkins combined for 16 targets at the point of Arcega-Whiteside's departure.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Survives roster cuts Arcega-Whiteside secured a spot on the Eagles' initial 53-man roster released Tuesday, Chris McPherson of the team's official site reports.
Impact Though Arcega-Whiteside turned in another uneven preseason and has little on his resume through two campaigns, the Eagles' investment of a 2019 second-round pick must have ultimately been too much to justify cutting him. The 24-year-old flashed some promise in Philadelphia's third and final preseason matchup, and perhaps that is what put him over the top. He remains firmly at the bottom of the wideout depth chart, however.
SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
States case in preseason finale Arcega-Whiteside caught both his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason tie against the Jets.
Impact The 2019 second-round pick came into the Eagles' final preseason game in danger of being a roster casualty, but Arcega-Whiteside flashed his skills by hauling in a deep sideline pass from Joe Flacco and then muscling his way through two defenders for a 42-yard TD right before halftime. Quez Watkins seems to have established himself as the No. 3 wideout behind DeVonta Smith and Jalen Reagor, but the bottom of the depth chart remains unsettled, so Arcega-Whiteside's performance may have been enough to keep him in Philadelphia.

NFL preseason: Top moments from Friday night's action
In danger of losing roster spot Arcega-Whiteside has done little in the preseason and could be left off the Eagles roster, Mike Kaye of NJ.com reports.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside dropped his only target in the Eagles' second preseason game, a blowout loss to the Patriots. His second-round pedigree may not matter if he can't separate from the pack over the rest of camp. Fortunately for the Stanford product, his competition hasn't done much to stand out aside from Quez Watkins' strong play, but Greg Ward and Travis Fulgham proved themselves last season. It may come down to John Hightower (groin) and Arcega-Whiteside for one spot at the bottom of Philadelphia's receiver depth chart.
AUGUST 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Possible sixth receiver Arcega-Whiteside could make the roster as the team's sixth receiver, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact The argument for Arcega-Whiteside is simple: he was a second-round pick just two years ago, and the Eagles are going to be loath to cut such a large investment. While he hasn't necessarily earned a spot with an outstanding camp, he has seen time working in the slot, where he is a big target. He's also added special teams to his resume, which usually is a requirement for receivers at the bottom of the depth chart. With DeVonta Smith, Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward and Jalen Reagor all virtual locks to make the club and Quez Watkins excelling consistently, Philadelphia will almost definitely need to keep six receivers on the roster for Arcga-Whiteside to make the team, however.
AUGUST 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Falling behind in roster race Arcega-Whiteside seems to have fallen down the depth chart as he battles for a roster spot, Bo Wulf of The Athletic reports.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside saw just one target in the game and was unable to reel it in while Quez Watkins took a screen pass 79 yards to the house, putting even more space between the two as they jockey for position on the team. Jalen Reagor had a solid game, as well. At this point, the 24-year-old's roster chances seem to hinge on the health of DeVonta Smith (knee) and John Hightower (groin), although the latter has had his struggles in camp as well.

AUGUST 6, 2021 • DELAWAREONLINE.COM
Comfortable with slot work Arcega-Whiteside has been comfortable while playing more in the slot to begin training camp, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.
Impact Arcega-Whiteside appeared in just eight games last year, and he hauled in four of his eight targets for 85 yards. The 24-year-old has largely disappointed across his first two NFL seasons, as he's totaled 14 receptions for 254 yards and a touchdown. He lined up in the slot for 55.3 percent of his snaps in 2020, and he'll attempt to carve out a larger target share after he focused on getting back to basics during the offseason.

Just four catches in 2020 Arcega-Whiteside caught just four passes on eight targets for 85 yards this season.
Impact Injuries were largely to blame for his poor showing as a rookie, but that was hardly the case in Arcega-Whiteside's sophomore season. Even though the receiving corps was ravaged by injury in the first half of the campaign, the 24-year-old managed more than 18 snaps or one target in a game just once each all year. Arcega-Whiteside did get COVID-19, but the 2019 second-round pick had already gone the route of a healthy scratch before then. He would also remain so when he recovered and will likely begin 2021 at the bottom of the Eagles' depth chart.
JANUARY 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Week 15 Arcega-Whiteside is inactive for Sunday's Week 15 tilt against the Cardinals.
Impact The second-year wideout will be out of uniform for the sixth straight game. Arcega-Whiteside has just two receptions for 45 yards on five targets this season, and he hasn't come close to matching the 28 snaps he logged back in Week 1 in the other six games during which he's garnered an active designation.
