Impact Miami listed Grant as a limited participant in Wednesday's session due to the calf injury. His removal from the report entirely implies that he not only turned in a full workout Thursday but also is at no risk of missing Sunday's game against the Bills. Grant could feature regularly in three-receiver sets Week 2 in the event DeVante Parker (hamstring) -- who was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday -- is unable to go, but he'll likely share No. 3 wideout duties with Isaiah Ford if the team is at full strength at the position. Per Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site, special teams coordinator Danny Crossman confirmed Wednesday that Grant has earned the right to serve as Miami's top option on kickoff and punt returns, giving the 27-year-old an added boost in fantasy leagues that value return yardage.

As the No. 3 wideout at best in an unreliable offense, Grant won't warrant fantasy consideration in most formats when he suits up against Buffalo in Week 2.

Impact Grant missed a couple of practice sessions due to a minor injury, but the 27-year-old is back to competing for the No. 3 wide-receiver role in Miami. His 45-yard reception turned heads coming off an injury, and now the 5-foot-7, 171-pound wideout will spend the rest of training camp holding off Isaiah Ford, Chester Rogers and Gary Jennings for a starting role.

Impact Grant and Isaiah Ford have spent camp in competition for the No. 3 receiver gig since Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson each decided to opt out of the 2020 campaign. Ford would likely benefit from an uptick in reps in the event that Grant were to miss significant time, but it doesn't appear that his injury will hold him out for long. Rookie seventh-round pick Malcolm Perry has also been handling limited reps out of the slot.

Enters mix for starting job? Grant may be needed in an expanded role after teammates Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns opted out of the 2020 season, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Impact Grant missed the final six games of 2018 and the final five of 2019, first suffering an Achilles injury and then a high ankle sprain. He also dealt with a hamstring injury, a shoulder injury and a concussion over the past two years, but when healthy he typically served as Miami's third or fourth option at wide receiver, also handling kick returns and sometimes punt returns. With Wilson and Hurns out of the picture for the upcoming season, Grant and Isaiah Ford appear to be the top candidates for the No. 3 receiver spot, while DeVante Parker and Preston Williams (knee) appear to be the top two options. There's even some chance for both Grant and Ford to stay regularly involved, especially if Williams struggles to come back from the ACL tear he suffered last November.
