Impact Goodson has missed the Colts' last two games due to a groin injury that he picked up in Week 4 against the Rams. He'll need to return to practice in at least a limited capacity in order to have a realistic chance of playing against the Chargers on Sunday. DJ Giddens and practice squad member Ameer Abdullah will continue to handle backup duties out of the backfield behind Jonathan Taylor for as long as Goodson is out of action.

Ashton Dulin - Dealing with chest injury Dulin did not participate in Wednesday's practice due to a chest injury.
Impact Dulin likely picked up the injury during the Colts' 31-27 win over the Cardinals in Week 6, when he returned two kickoffs for 59 yards while playing just one snap on offense. The 28-year-old wideout will have two more opportunities to return to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of Sunday's road game against the Chargers.

Impact Ward missed Indianapolis' win over the Cardinals in Week 6 due to a concussion suffered during pre-game warmups, and he isn't yet ready to resume taking practice reps. He'll need to gain full clearance from the NFL's concussion protocol before being eligible to return to game action, making Ward's status uncertain for Sunday's road matchup against the Chargers.

Impact After being inactive for the first five games of the season, Leonard suited up as the Colts' No. 2 quarterback during this past Sunday's 31-27 win over the Cardinals due to Richardson sustaining an orbital fracture in a freak pregame accident. With Richardson's injury now set to keep him out for at least four more games, Leonard is the lone healthy option at quarterback on the 53-man roster beyond Jones, though Indianapolis signed veteran Brett Rypien to its practice squad Wednesday. Rypien brings more experience to the table and could eventually make a push for the No. 2 role if he's able to quickly familiarize himself with head coach Shane Steichen's playbook, but Leonard, a rookie sixth-round pick out of Notre Dame, would offer far more fantasy upside if he's forced into action in the event of an injury to Jones. Leonard put his dual-threat abilities on full display during the preseason, carrying seven times for 58 yards while completing 34 of 56 pass attempts (60.7 percent) for 345 yards, one touchdown and one interception over three games.
