Lands with New Orleans
The Saints signed St. Brown on Friday.
Impact
After spending his first three seasons with the Packers, St. Brown was with the Bears the last two years and has 63 career catches for 928 yards and two touchdowns on 110 targets. In 2023, St. Brown missed 10 games with hamstring and pectoral injuries. In New Orleans, St. Brown will slot in on the depth chart and compete for a job behind Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Cedrick Wilson and A.T. Perry.

Set for free agency
St. Brown caught one pass for 18 yards in the Bears' 17-9 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Impact
St. Brown was most valuable as a blocker, which explains why he was targeted six times in seven games played despite being on the field between 37 and 59 percent of the snaps in each contest he suited up. The veteran ended the season with five catches for 62 yards. After two seasons with Chicago and five years in the league, St. Brown is an unrestricted free agent.

Two grabs in loss
St. Brown caught two passes for 19 yards in the Bears' 31-26 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Impact
The two targets St. Brown received represented the first time in four game he had more than a single target. Unless his role in the offense changes, he'll be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

Impact
After failing to reach 120 yards in either of his last two seasons in Green Bay, St. Brown posted similar numbers with the Bears this year than he had during his rookie season in 2018. Going into the fifth year of his career, he's likely ticketed to be a depth option next year and beyond.

Picks up knee injury
St. Brown sustained a knee injury during Sunday's contest against the Vikings.
Impact
The Bears made the ruling on St. Brown late in the third quarter, deeming him questionable to return. If he's unable to do so, he'll emerge from Week 18 having caught his only target for three yards.

Signs one-year extension
St. Brown and the Bears agreed Wednesday on a one-year contract extension, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Selected by Green Bay in the sixth round of the 2018 draft, St. Brown caught 21 passes for 328 yards as a rookie and now has a similar receiving line (20-320-1) four years later in his first season on the Bears. He had only 215 receiving yards total over the three years in between, but the Bears seem to have been pleased with his blocking in their run-heavy offense, as St. Brown has started each of the 15 games he's played while handling a 60 percent snap share. That said, he might just be a backup and special teams player next season if the Bears find a real receiving threat to pair with Darnell Mooney (ankle). St. Brown is expected to get his 16th start of the season this Sunday against the Vikings, catching passes from Nathan Peterman instead of Justin Fields (hip), who has been ruled out for the season finale.

Targeted three times
St. Brown caught two passes for 20 yards in the Bears' 41-10 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Impact
St. Brown has posted at least 20 yards in four of his last five games, but he's only surpassed 25 yards just once since Week 8, and his lack of volume will make him a low-upside fantasy option in Week 18 against the Vikings.

Cleared for Sunday
St. Brown (concussion) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Detroit.
Impact
St. Brown apparently has cleared concussion protocol after missing one game, while fellow Bears wide receivers Chase Claypool (knee) and Dante Pettis (ankle) are listed as questionable. None has been a reliable source or targets or production, but St. Brown at least figures to play a lot of snaps this weekend.

Progressing through concussion protocol
St. Brown (concussion) was limited at Thursday's practice.
Impact
Making his first appearance on the practice field since suffering a concussion Week 15 against the Eagles, St. Brown still has multiple phases to complete before the Bears can clear him from the protocol for head injuries. As for the rest of Chicago's injured wide receivers, Chase Claypool (knee) returned Thursday with a cap on his reps, while Dante Pettis (ankle) didn't log any activity, leaving question marks in the position group ahead of Sunday's game at Detroit.

No practice Wednesday
St. Brown (concussion) didn't take part in practice Wednesday.
Impact
Since sustaining a concussion Week 15 against the Eagles, St. Brown hasn't logged any on-field work, signaling that he hasn't made much, if any, progress through the five-step protocol for head injuries. Chase Claypool (knee) also didn't practice Wednesday, while Dante Pettis (ankle) was limited, so the Bears' receiving corps is particularly banged-up at the moment.

Won't play Saturday
St. Brown (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bills.
Impact
Meanwhile, Chase Claypool (knee) is listed as doubtful for the contest, which sets the stage for Byron Pringle and Dante Pettisto lead the Bears' Week 16 wideout corps, with Velus Jones and N'Keal Harry candidates to mix in. St. Brown will now look to gain clearance to play Jan. 1 against the Lions.

DNP on Wednesday
St. Brown (concussion) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Impact
St. Brown suffered a concussion early during Sunday's loss to the Eagles. With the Bears preparing for a Week 16 matchup with the Bills on Saturday, St. Brown is running out of time to make his way through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. Ultimately, Chicago could be without its top two wide receivers this weekend, as Chase Claypool (knee) also didn't practice Wednesday.
