INJURIES

Reels in two passes Eskridge caught two of three targets for 10 yards and rushed once for seven yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears.
Impact The rookie second-round pick has struggled to get involved on offense this season, as he missed seven games with a concussion and has played more than 50 percent of the offensive snaps just once. He's worth holding onto in dynasty because of the draft capital used to bring him in, but Eskridge isn't dependable in redraft leagues.

Wilson can't come through for Seattle to conclude wacky week

With their schedule for the week thrown out of whack, their top wide receiver out because of COVID-19 and their playoff hopes on the line, the Seattle Seahawks needed their franchi...

Catchless on four targets Eskridge didn't catch any of his four targets in Tuesday's 20-10 loss to the Rams.
Impact Eskridge handled his biggest snap share of the season (70 percent) because Tyler Lockett was in COVID-19 protocol and missed Tuesday's game. However, the rookie failed to catch a pass despite being targeted four times. The rookie second-round pick has played only seven games this season because he missed seven games with a concussion. With just seven receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown and Russell Wilson still a bit off, it'll be tough to trust Eskridge in fantasy for the rest of the season.

Returns to full practice Eskridge (foot) was a full participant in Friday's practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Impact After all of Eskridge, DK Metcalf (foot/back) and Freddie Swain (ankle) were withheld from Seattle's first two practices of Week 15, the trio cleared up any concern about their availability for Seattle's upcoming game against the Rams by taking every rep during Friday's session. Even with the NFL announcing that the Seahawks-Rams matchup would be pushed back from Sunday to Tuesday due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within the Los Angeles organization, Seattle could still be without wideout Tyler Lockett (illness), who continues to experience symptoms after testing positive for the virus Thursday. If Lockett isn't cleared to play, Swain, Eskridge and Penny Hart would likely be in store for more reps alongside Metcalf.
DECEMBER 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Doesn't practice Thursday Eskridge (foot) was a non-participant at practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact All of DK Metcalf (foot/back), Freddie Swain (ankle/personal) and Eskridge haven't stepped on the field during Week 15 prep, while Seattle placed Tyler Lockett (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday. Friday's injury report may reveal who potentially may be available for Sunday's game at the Chargers, but for the time being Penny Hart is the only healthy wide receiver on the Seahawks' active roster.
DECEMBER 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with foot injury Eskridge (foot) did not practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Eskridge out-snapped Freddie Swain (ankle) in Week 14, but neither wideout was able to practice Wednesday. Seattle will host two more practice sessions before making decisions about availability for Sunday's road divisional matchup in Los Angeles.
DECEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Usage rising Eskridge failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 33-13 win over the Texans.
Impact Eskridge recorded a season-high 49 percent snap share Sunday, out-snapping Freddie Swain (44 percent) for the first time this year. Unfortunately, the rookie couldn't capitalize on the opportunity. His usage is encouraging, especially in dynasty formats, but he has a long way to go before fantasy managers can rely on him on a weekly basis. Eskridge has recorded seven receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown through six games.
DECEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores first NFL touchdown Eskridge caught all three of his targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-23 win over the 49ers.
Impact The rookie saw the same target volume as Freddie Swain, his competition for the No. 3 wideout role, but Eskridge made a bigger impact by catching a seven-yard TD toss from Russell Wilson late in the third quarter. It was the first touchdown of Eskridge's career, and he could be earning Wilson's trust heading into a Week 14 tilt against the Texans.

Seahawks hold on late for wild 30-23 win over 49ers

Hauls in two passes Eskridge caught two passes on three targets for 10 yards in Monday's 17-15 loss to Washington. He also returned two kicks for 54 yards.
Impact The rookie second-round pick suited up for the fourth time this season, recording 13 of 47 possible offensive snaps (28 percent). Eskridge is still getting his feet wet after missing seven games with a concussion, but he appears to be far behind Freddie Swain (66 percent snap share) in the battle for the No. 3 receiver spot. However, Eskridge may continue to contribute as a returner because DeeJay Dallas -- the team's typical kick returner -- is now the primary backup to Alex Collins at running back due to a slew of injuries in Seattle's backfield.
DECEMBER 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Wasn't targeted Sunday Eskridge didn't receive a target in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Cardinals.
Impact Eskridge logged 11 snaps (22 percent) in his second game back from a concussion, but he wasn't targeted on any of Russell Wilson's 26 passes. The rookie second-round pick could start seeing more snaps at some point because Freddie Swain has failed to establish himself as the No. 3 receiver, though there likely isn't much fantasy upside behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
NOVEMBER 22, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Five snaps in return to action Eskridge recorded minus-4 yards on one reception (two targets) in Sunday's 17-0 loss to the Packers.
Impact Eskridge made his first appearance since Week 1 after missing seven games due to a concussion. The rookie second-round pick logged just five offensive snaps, which ranked fifth among Seahawks wide receivers. Considering he had a long layoff, the Seahawks were probably easing him into the mix. Still, Freddie Swain seems to have the No. 3 role locked down, and Eskridge has an uphill battle to overtake him in the second half of the season.

Back on active roster The Seahawks activated Eskridge (concussion) from injured reserve Friday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. "He had a great week," coach Pete Carroll said. "He did ev...
Impact As did Russell Wilson (finger), getting Seattle closer to full health than it has been in some time. Chris Carson (IR/neck) won't be activated in advance of Sunday's contest at Green Bay, but Eskridge nonetheless will make his second appearance of the season. Back in Week 1 before suffering the concussion that forced seven absences, Eskridge hauled in his only target for six yards and had two carries for 22 yards on fly sweeps.
NOVEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Trending in right direction Eskridge (concussion) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Packers, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Impact Eskridge hasn't seen any NFL action since sustaining a concussion Week 1, but it looks like both he and quarterback Russell Wilson (finger) will be back on the field versus Green Bay. The rookie second-round pick could be eased back into action, but he doesn't have many significant barriers in his way for the No. 3 wideout role behind DK Metcalf (foot) and Tyler Lockett. Neither Freddie Swain nor Penny Hart were targeted in Seattle's most recent game, a Week 8 win over the Jaguars.
NOVEMBER 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Practices again Wednesday Eskridge (concussion) took part in Wednesday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Prior to the session, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll noted Eskridge was "ready to go full speed" as the rookie closes in on his first game action since suffering a concussion Week 1. In the meantime, Eskridge paid a visit to a concussion specialist in Florida twice, and the Seahawks designated him to return Monday. According to Carroll, Eskridge fared well in his return to practice earlier this week, which allowed him to participate Wednesday, too. Because he's on IR, there's no telling where Eskridge stands in the protocol for head injuries, but he's poised to be activated once he gains clearance from an independent neurologist.
NOVEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared to practice Seattle designated Eskridge (concussion) to return from injured reserve Monday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Following Seattle's Week 9 bye, Eskridge will join the Seahawks for practice Monday for the first time in more than a month. Assuming he doesn't incur any setbacks in his recovery from the concussion and doesn't need extended time to regain conditioning, he could be a candidate to return from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers. If not, the Seahawks still would have an additional two weeks to evaluate Eskridge for a return to the 53-man roster. He's played in just one game thus far in his rookie campaign due to the head injury, recording a six-yard reception and rushing twice for 22 yards in the Seahawks' win over the Colts in Week 1.
NOVEMBER 8, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Chance to return Week 10 Eskridge (concussion) may return to action in the Seahawks' Week 10 visit to Green Bay, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact Eskridge has been sidelined since Week 1 due to a concussion that has impacted his vision, among other things. He thus visited a specialist in Florida recently to participate in a visual training program. While he's back in Seattle, the fact the team hasn't designated him to return from IR indicates he has yet to get back on the practice field. Another absence Sunday against the Jaguars appears likely, before the Seahawks take in a Week 9 bye, giving Eskridge a bit more time to get through the protocol for head injuries.
OCTOBER 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
May be able to practice this week Eskridge (concussion) is expected to return to Seattle on Wednesday and potentially practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Eskridge has been away from the team recently to take part in a visual training program in Florida, after experiencing some side effects of the concussion he sustained Week 1. The rookie second-round pick apparently is in "great shape and ready to go," per head coach Pete Carroll, but it's unclear where Eskridge currently stands in the NFL's concussion protocol. If he's back on the practice field Thursday or Friday -- to do so, the Seahawks must first designate him to return from injured reserve -- Eskridge may not have enough time to complete the final phases and get cleared for Sunday's game versus the Jaguars. Still, he seems to be rounding into shape after missing six consecutive contests.
OCTOBER 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Could return Week 8 Eskridge has visited a concussion specialist in Florida and also has a chance to return to action Sunday against the Jaguars, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Eskridge has been sidelined since Week 1 due to the head injury and been on injured reserve since Oct. 7, so he'll have a few chances to make an impression on the practice field this week, assuming the Seahawks designate him to return from IR. If he's able to complete all the phases of the concussion protocol in time for Sunday's game, the 2021 second-round pick likely will have to settle for no better than No. 4 on the wide receiver depth chart behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Freddie Swain, and ahead of Penny Hart.
OCTOBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Concussion results in IR stint The Seahawks placed Eskridge (concussion) on injured reserve Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Impact Since he sustained a concussion in the season opener, Eskridge has been listed as a DNP on 10 of 12 injury reports over the last four weeks. And on one of those two occasions in which he wasn't, his LP showed up on a practice estimate, meaning the Seahawks didn't even take the field that day. The team has been taking a cautious approach with what coach Pete Carroll called "a real serious concussion," and Eskridge now will have three more weeks to get through the five steps of the NFL's protocol for head injuries before being eligible to come off IR.
OCTOBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Unavailable Thursday Eskridge (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Eskridge hasn't seen the field since suffering the concussion in the season opener, and he won't be available for Thursday's divisional matchup. The 24-year-old had recently been practicing as a limited participant, but he was downgraded to a DNP the past two days.
OCTOBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Non-participant Tuesday Eskridge (concussion) was a non-participant at Tuesday's practice, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Impact Eskridge was estimated as a limited participant on Monday's injury report, and he was downgraded for Tuesday's session. The 24-year-old suffered the concussion in the season opener and has yet to fully clear the concussion protocol. leaving his availability for Thursday's matchup with the Rams firmly up in the air.
OCTOBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Limited to begin Week 5 The Seahawks listed Eskridge (concussion) as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact After taking a doubtful designation into the weekend before being made inactive for Sunday's 28-21 win over the 49ers, Eskridge will open Week 5 as a limited participant on the third practice report in a row. Eskridge presumably will need to upgrade to full activity by Wednesday to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol ahead of a Thursday night matchup with the Rams this week. Even if he does get the green light to play for the first time since the season opener, Eskridge may be asked to fill only a minor role in Seattle's offensive game plan.
OCTOBER 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Status unclear for Week 4 Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that it's unclear whether Eskridge (concussion) will be able to return for Thursday's game against the Rams, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times report...
Impact Eskridge returned to practice in a limited capacity last week, but he was held out for a third consecutive game. Because the Seahawks face a short week ahead of their matchup against the Rams, it's not certain whether he'll be cleared to return Week 5. Freddie Swain should continue to serve as Seattle's No. 3 receiver if Eskridge is sidelined once again.
OCTOBER 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Another absence Sunday Eskridge (concussion) is listed as inactive Sunday at San Francisco.
Impact Eskridge seems to be in limbo as he attempts to work his way through the concussion he suffered back in the season opener. He finally got on the practice field Thursday as a limited participant before logging no activity to wrap up Week 4 prep. It's unclear when Eskridge will get past his head injury, but Freddie Swain figures to handle the No. 3 WR role in the Seahawks offense behind starters DK Metcalf (foot) and Tyler Lockett (hip) for the foreseeable future.
