INJURIES

No targets in loss Eskridge wasn't targeted in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons.
Impact Eskridge has played 23 offensive snaps through three games, and he has two catches (three targets) for six yards. The 2021 second-round pick shouldn't be on the fantasy radar for the time being.

One target in loss Eskridge caught his lone target for six yards in Sunday's 27-7 loss to the 49ers.
Impact The Seahawks trailed nearly all game, but the 2021 second-round pick was targeted on just one of Geno Smith's 30 passes. He was only on the field for six offensive snaps, as he's currently behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Marquise Goodwin in the pecking order.

Full participant Sunday Eskridge (hamstring) practiced without limitations Sunday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Eskridge had been bothered by a hamstring injury for the entirety of camp up to this point, but the 2021 fifth-round pick has finally returned to full health. He's expected to make Seattle's 53-man roster, but Eskridge sits fourth at best on the wide receiver depth chart behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Freddie Swain.

Impact Eskridge missed time during mandatory minicamp back in June due to a hamstring injury, which followed him into training camp. He made an appearance at practice last Wednesday, albeit without pads or a helmet, but he was seen catching passes in both during individual drills at Tuesday's session, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Following Carroll's announcement, Eskridge will have just once more chance to make an appearance during exhibition season on Friday, Aug. 26 at Dallas.

Doubtful to play against Steelers Eskridge (hamstring) isn't anticipated to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Steelers, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Impact Eskridge has been working his way back from a hamstring injury he suffered in June, so this news shouldn't be of great surprise given the 25-year-old has been limited all throughout camp. In 10 games played as a rookie, Eskridge accounted for 64 yards and one touchdown on 10 catches. The second-year receiver is slated to compete for Seattle's No. 4 receiver spot with Marquise Goodwin (hamstring) and Bo Melton.
AUGUST 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Practicing without pads Eskridge (hamstring) went through drills without a helmet Wednesday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Impact It's an encouraging sign for Eskridge, who has displayed some vulnerability to the injury bug since he was drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft. It would be somewhat surprising to see him suit up for Seattle's preseason opener Saturday considering he still hasn't put his pads on this season, but he'll be one of the top candidates for reps behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf once he returns to action in earnest.

Getting close to return Coach Pete Carroll said Eskridge (hamstring) is drawing closer to a return to practice, but there's a chance the second-year wide receiver may not play during the preseason, Bob Co...
Impact It's no surprise the Seahawks are being extra cautious with Eskridge after he sat out seven games last year due to a concussion that he suffered Week 1 and then showed up in the injury report Week 15 due to a foot issue. Overall, he was limited to 183 offensive snaps, 20 targets and four carries in 10 appearances. Even if he reaches 100 percent during exhibition season, Eskridge may not suit up until the regular-season opener.

JULY 28, 2022 • USATODAY.COM
Still bothered by hamstring injury Eskridge (hamstring) was limited during Wednesday's practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Head coach Pete Carroll said the team was being cautious because Eskridge's hamstring tightened up after the start of practice, but this isn't a new issue. Eskridge sat portions out of OTAs in early June with a hamstring injury, as well. This will be a pivotal training camp for the 2021 second-round pick, as he caught just 10 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown as a rookie. Eskridge will need to get healthy quickly and have a strong showing in the preseason to unseat Freddie Swain from the No. 3 wideout role.
JULY 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined with hamstring injury Head coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that Eskridge missed part of mandatory minicamp due to a hamstring injury, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Every rep matters for Eskridge, who is hoping to prove himself this offseason after an underwhelming rookie campaign where he missed seven games with a concussion and finished with 10 receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. The 2021 second-round pick will aim to get back on the field Tuesday when the Seahawks finish their offseason program with a three-day session. Eskridge is primarily competing against Freddie Swain and rookie Bo Melton (hamstring) for the No. 3 wideout spot, though there could be a significant opportunity ahead if DK Metcalf's (foot) contract negotiations fall through.

Dismal rookie season Eskridge posted 10 receptions (20 targets) for 64 yards and a touchdown and four rushes for 59 yards over 10 games during his 2021 season.
Impact Eskridge missed seven games with a concussion and played more than 50 percent of the offensive snaps just once, averaging 18.9 snaps per game. The rookie second-round pick basically split the Seahawks' No. 3 wideout snaps with Freddie Swain, and neither player managed to distinguish himself. Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he expects Eskridge to be "a really impactful player" next year. Carroll will need to be creative to get Eskridge involved considering Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf handle the bulk of the passing-game work, but Eskridge has shown flashes in the run game. He'll likely be viewed as a late-round sleeper next season.

Seahawks hope late offensive surge is springboard into '22

The Seattle Seahawks are hoping the final month of the NFL season will become a launching point into the 2022 season

Flashes on end-around Eskridge caught one of three targets for seven yards and rushed once for 30 yards in Sunday's 51-29 win over the Lions.
Impact Eskridge was relatively quiet all game until about two minutes left in the fourth quarter when the rookie took an end-around 30 yards and fell a half-yard short of the endzone. Still, it's disappointing that Eskridge couldn't get seriously involved until garbage time. He'll look to finish his first NFL season strong in Week 18 against the Cardinals.
