Impact Jackson recently played in the UFL with the DC Defenders and posted 441 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 83 carries while adding seven catches for 39 yards. He last saw NFL regular-season action in 2023, when he appeared in four games between the Colts (two), Browns and Giants (one game each) and logged 14 carries for 16 yards. Jackson's addition solidifies the Lions' backfield depth while Sione Vaki (leg) is sidelined.

Impact Jackson opened last season as the Colts' Week 1 starting running back while Jonathan Taylor was on the PUP list. Jackson subsequently found work with the Browns and Giants, then signed a contract with the Jets this August. However, he won't be on the team's 53-man roster after gaining just 18 yards on eight carries during the preseason.

Impact Jackson bounced between the Colts, Browns and Giants last season, seeing action in four regular-season games. The Duke product only managed to net 16 yards on 14 carries, but he did have a little bit better success in 2022, where he averaged 3.5 YPC on 68 attempts. The 25-year-old will compete with rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis, as well as second-year man Israel Abanikanda for a spot behind Breece Hall at running back.
