Solid opportunity on tap Knox, who has four touchdowns over the last three games, draws a favorable Week 5 matchup Sunday against the Chiefs' 27th-ranked pass defense.
Impact The Kansas City defense has struggled against tight ends, giving up an average of 6.5 catches and 85 yards per game to tight ends, as noted by Chris Brown of the Bills' official site. With Knox dominating the receiving role at his position -- 20 targets to just two for backup Tommy Sweeney -- his floor should be pretty high this week, considering the Bills will probably try to move the chains and keep Patrick Mahomes off the field as much as possible. Knox recorded a 6-42-1 line against the Chiefs in last year's AFC Championship Game, his best performance in a disappointing season, but one that may have provided a sneak peek at some of the success the team is having utilizing him in 2021.

Impact Knox finished second on the team with eight targets and continued to serve a key role in the red zone. The performance marked the first multi-touchdown performance of his career, and he's now found the end zone in three consecutive contests. Knox tallied the first score of the game on a 25-yard reception late in the opening quarter and later hit pay dirt again on a one-yard catch with 14 minutes remaining in the game. Though Knox's scoring pace isn't likely to continue, he has logged at least four receptions in three of four contests this season.

Impact Knox had his best yardage and target week in the victory in what's starting to shape up as a breakout campaign. He won't be a fantasy star on this team in 2021 -- that status is reserved for Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs -- but the ever-evolving Buffalo offense has started to feature the tight end this season and Knox is pretty much the only one in his position group going out on pass routes. In deeper leagues, he's worth consideration.

Impact The TD gives Knox his second decent fantasy day of the young season, at least in terms pertaining to depth tight ends. Teams seem to be covering stud wideouts Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley a bit more aggressively than last season, so the Bills found success Sunday using secondary options such as Knox and Devin Singletary. For the second straight week, Knox was the only Buffalo tight end to catch a pass, and he was on the field for 83 percent of the offensive snaps.
