Activated off COVID-19 list
Washington activated Lucas off the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Impact
Despite the game being pushed back two days, Lucas was unable to clear protocols in time to be available for Tuesday's loss to the Eagles. However, one day after the contest, he has been added back to the active roster. Lucas is expected to assume his usual spot at left tackle in Week 16 against the Cowboys.

Hits COVID list
Lucas was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Impact
Lucas was one of seven players to hit the COVID list for Washington on Wednesday. As the team's starting right tackle, any potential absence would be damaging to their offensive line. Combined with starting left tackle Charles Leno (back) currently considered questionable for Sunday against the Eagles, Washington could be in trouble when it comes to protecting the edges.

Not listed on injury report
Lucas (illness) is not listed on the injury report Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact
Lucas appears to have shaken the illness that kept him out of Week 8. He will likely step back into his reserve role Sunday against the Buccaneers, but there's a possibility he will draw the start at right tackle if Samuel Cosmi (ankle) is unable to play.

Lands on COVID-19 list
Washington placed Lucas on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Impact
The 30-year-old is expected to contend for a starting role at offensive tackle in 2021, but his placement on the COVID-19 list will at least provide a short-term setback for Lucas. He'll hope to clear protocols in advance Washington's first preseason game Aug. 12 versus the Patriots.

Looking good for Monday night
Lucas (ankle) was a full participant during Thursday's practice session, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Impact
Lucas was ruled out for Washington's Thanksgiving matchup against the Cowboys, but he is afforded extra recuperation time with the team going 11 days between contests. He's started each of his past three appearances at tackle, but it will be far from an easy assignment Week 13, facing a Steelers defense that leads the NFL with 3.7 sacks per game.
