Impact Higgins, who has been unable to practice week, is thus trending toward a second straight absence. If he is indeed out this weekend, WRs Jermaine Burton and Trenton Irwin should have added Week 9 opportunities working alongside Ja'Marr Chase (who logged 11 targets in Higgins' absence last Sunday) and Andrei Iosivas, with TE Mike Gesicki (eight targets in Week 8) also a candidate to remain busy versus Las Vegas.

The severity of the injury isn't clear, but Friday's practice report should provide clarity on his status heading into Sunday's game against the Raiders. Jones has served as the Bengals' primary return man this season, but if he's unable to play, Chase Brown and Trenton Irwin would be the top candidates to handle kickoff and punt return duties Sunday.

Jermaine Burton - More snaps coming soon? Bengals QB Joe Burrow said Wednesday that Burton deserves more playing time, ESPN's Ben Baby reports.
Impact Burton played a career-high 41 percent of snaps in Sunday's 37-17 loss to Philadelphia, catching one of three targets for 41 yards while running 16 routes (42 percent share). That was with Tee Higgins (quad) out of action, however, rather than a case of Burton taking playing time away from No. 3 receiver Andrei Iosivas, who has been targeted on just 11.7 percent of his routes while producing 7.0 YPT and 0.79 yards per route. Iosivas has been one of the least productive regulars in the league at his position, perhaps opening the door for Burton -- a rookie third-round pick -- to take on a larger role in the second half of the season. It's unclear if Higgins will be back for Sunday's home game against the Raiders.

Impact The injury doesn't seem too serious, considering Higgins is working on a side field five days after injuring his quad during practice. He has a lengthy history of hamstring injuries, but this is the first time anything has been reported with his quad since he entered the NFL. He missed Sunday's 37-17 loss to the Eagles and now appears uncertain to play this coming Sunday against the Raiders.

Erick All Jr. - Two catches against Eagles All caught two passes for 32 yards in Sunday's Week 8 loss to the Eagles. He played 24 snaps, and those were his only two targets.
Impact All was out-snapped Mike Gesicki (31), who was also more active in the passing game. All's blocking advantage over Gesicki was negated by the game script in the second half, once the Bengals fell behind in the third quarter.

Jermaine Burton - One long catch Burton caught one pass for 41 yards in the Bengals' loss to the Eagles in Week 8. He played a season-high 24 snaps and had three total targets.
Impact Burton isn't asked to do too much in the Bengals' offense, but with Tee Higgins (quad) out, he was on the field far more frequently. Teammate Andrei Iosivas hasn't been getting open regularly, so it's possible that Burton could start to earn more playing time at his expense in the near future.

Impact Iosivas just doesn't get open very often, and that really hurt the Bengals this week with Tee Higgins (quad) out against the Eagles. Instead, the Bengals went more often to tight end Mike Gesicki, who often was lined up in the slot. Even Jermaine Burton chipped in with a big reception in limited reps, but Iosivas couldn't contribute.

Impact Brown sprained his right knee against Cleveland in the previous game and got hit in the same knee against Philadelphia, which led to his exit.
