Should play Week 13
Lamb (concussion) will practice Sunday, with the Cowboys expecting him to return for Thursday's game at New Orleans in Week 13, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Lamb seems to have come close to clearing concussion protocol in time for Thursday's overtime loss to the Raiders, but he ultimately wasn't able to play four days after suffering the injury. While he's expected to avoid another absence, the situation still needs to be monitored given that recovery from concussions isn't always linear. It does, however, seem likely that both Lamb and Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19) will be back in the lineup Week 13.

Inactive versus Raiders
Lamb (concussion) is officially inactive for Thursday's game against the Raiders.
Impact
With both Lamb and Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) unavailable for the contest, the Cowboys' Week 12 wideout corps will be led by Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson, with Noah Brown, Malik Turner and Simi Fehoko also in the mix. Lamb now will target a return action Week 13, when Dallas faces New Orleans next Thursday.

Won't suit up Thursday
Lamb, who is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Raiders, won't clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol ahead of the 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff and is set to be...
Impact
Though team executives as well as head coach Mike McCarthy expressed confidence that Lamb would be ready to go for Thanksgiving Day after he returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, the second-year receiver likely wasn't able to gain medical clearance from either team doctors or an independent neurologist (or both). Lamb likely would have avoided an absence if the Cowboys were playing on Sunday this week, but the quick turnaround for their annual holiday game didn't provide enough time for the wideout to clear the necessary hurdles. Dallas is expected to officially rule him out when it releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to kickoff, and with both Lamb and Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) sidelined, Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown are likely to serve as the team's top three receivers. All could be in line for extra snaps and targets, while tight end Dalton Schultz and running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard may also see more involvement as pass catchers. Meanwhile, Lamb will set his sights on gaining clearance for the Cowboys' Week 13 game versus the Saints on Dec. 2.

Officially questionable for Week 12

Impact
After being estimated as a non-participant on Monday's and Tuesday's practice reports, Lamb bumped up to limited activity Wednesday, the first tangible sign of progress as he recovers from a concussion sustained this past Sunday at Kansas City. Despite such a tight window for Lamb to clear all five phases of the NFL's protocol for head injuries, the Cowboys have exuded confidence in the second-year wideout being ready to go ahead of the Thanksgiving Day showdown with the Raiders. Still, Lamb is subject to clearance from both team doctors and an independent neurologist, so hurdles remain for him to avoid the inactive list, which will be released about 90 minutes before Thursday's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff. With Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) unavailable and Lamb's status up in the air, Dallas may yet have to rely on Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown and Malik Turner as its main options at wide receiver Week 12.

Needs clearance after full practice
Lamb (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's non-padded practice and now needs joint clearance from a club physician and an independent neurologist to play in Thursday's...
Impact
Pending the results of his upcoming examinations, Lamb appears to be trending toward playing Thanksgiving Day, just four days after being diagnosed with a concussion. The Cowboys presumably will list him as questionable on their final weekly injury report, but Lamb's status may ultimately be known well before the team's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff Thursday.

Returns to practice
Lamb (concussion) will return to practice Wednesday, giving him a shot to play in Thursday's game against the Raiders, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact
The star wideout seems to be making quick progress through the five-step concussion protocol and likely would be on track to suit up if the Cowboys played Sunday rather than Thursday. As it is, Lamb remains uncertain to play Thanksgiving Day, though his return to practice reportedly has the Cowboys feeling optimistic that he'll clear protocol ahead of the 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff. The team is already without of its other starting wideouts Amari Cooper (illness) this week.

No reps in Tuesday's practice
Lamb (concussion) was estimated as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice report, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact
According to Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site, Dallas held what head coach Mike McCarthy described as a light "run-through" session Tuesday, but Lamb evidently hasn't advanced far enough in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to take part even in non-contact drills. With the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game against the Raiders being just two days away, Lamb seems to be trending toward inactive status for the contest, though McCarthy noted the second-year wideout is staying mentally prepared to play. A more definitive word on Lamb's chances of playing against Las Vegas should arrive Wednesday, when Dallas releases its final Week 12 injury report.

Estimated as non-participant
The Cowboys estimated Lamb (concussion) as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact
Given that Lamb was diagnosed with the concussion about 24 hours earlier in Dallas' 19-9 loss to Kansas City, his listing as a non-participant on the Cowboys' initial Week 12 injury report hardly qualifies as a surprise. He'll have three more days to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol ahead of Thursday's game against the Raiders, which will be a difficult task despite Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones noting earlier Monday that Lamb is doing well in the early stages of his recovery from the head injury. Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) has already been ruled out for Thanksgiving Day, so the Cowboys could be forced to rely heavily on Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson as their main options at receiver if Lamb also is sidelined.
