INJURIES

Involved in opener Berrios caught five of seven targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers. He added a 15-yard punt return.
Impact Berrios filled in admirably for Jamison Crowder (illness) in the slot. He tied for the team lead in targets with Corey Davis, though Davis did much more with his opportunities, scoring both of the Jets' touchdowns. Berrios -- who is a former Patriots cast-off -- could get an opportunity to exact some revenge on his former team in Week 2 if Crowder isn't cleared by then.

Four targets in return Berrios caught two of four targets for 17 yards in Saturday's 23-14 preseason win over the Packers. He added two yards on a punt return.
Impact Berrios returned to action after missing the preseason opener against the Giants due to a groin injury. His production in this one was nothing to write home about, but Berrios actually ranked second in targets behind Corey Davis (six), while no other teammate was thrown to more than twice. Berrios has the inside track on securing a roster spot due to his contributions as a return man on special teams and ability to fill in capably in the slot on offense, but a strong performance in the preseason finale against the Eagles would help put any doubt about his future with the Jets to bed prior to final cuts.

Returns to practice Berrios (groin) returned to practice Thursday, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
Impact Berrios missed the Jets' preseason opener against the Giants due to a groin issue, but the issue wasn't considered serious. The 25-year-old took part in Thursday's joint practice with the Packers and was on the field during the team's two-minute drill. Berrios should be available to make his preseason debut Saturday against Green Bay.

Won't play Saturday Berrios (groin) is ruled out for Saturday's preseason contest against the Giants, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Coach Robert Saleh said he expects Berrios back in action for the Jets' exhibition matchup against the Packers on Aug. 22, so it appears the wideout isn't dealing with too serious an injury. Still, Berrios is competing for a depth role in New York's revamped receiving corps, and missing any amount of time before Week 1 could hurt his chances of making the final roster.

Finishes with three TDs in 2020 Berrios caught all three of his targets for 20 yards and rushed twice for 16 yards in Sunday's season-ending 28-14 loss to New England.
Impact Berrios finishes the season with 37 catches for 394 yards and three touchdowns. New York's No. 4 receiver frequently bumped up the depth chart due to injuries above him, and Berrios is well positioned to maintain his depth role next season, as he also brings value as a special teams option in the return game. A starting role on the outside could open up if Breshad Perriman doesn't re-sign with the Jets, but the team will almost certainly fill such a vacancy via free agency or the draft given its dearth of effective wide receivers.

Scores first TD since Week 3 Berrios caught all three of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Browns.
Impact Berrios scored from 43 yards out on a pass thrown by fellow wide receiver Jamison Crowder. The touchdown was Berrios' third of the season and first since Week 3. His contributions have been sporadic despite ample opportunities due to injuries to New York's other wide receivers, but Berrios should continue logging time on offense while also working as a returner in Week 17 against the Patriots team that originally selected him in the sixth round of the 2018 draft.

Two catches and end zone drop in W Berrios caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Rams.
Impact Berrios' lone miss was more memorable than either of his short connections, as the ball clanked off his hands in the end zone after a strong effort from quarterback Sam Darnold to escape pressure and deliver an accurate pass on the run. Had Berrios caught the ball, it would have been his third touchdown of the season. Up next for the no-longer winless Jets is a Week 16 date with the Browns.
DECEMBER 21, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Leading receiver in rout Berrios caught three of five targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 40-3 loss to the Seahawks.
Impact He took advantage of the absence of Denzel Mims (personal) and led the Jets in receiving yards on a day when Sam Darnold completed only 14 passes. This was Berrios' best performance since Week 3, but he'll likely return to a depth role in Week 15 against the Rams.

Two catches in latest loss Berrios caught both of his targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Raiders.
Impact Berrios hasn't found the end zone since Week 2 while surpassing two catches only twice since that point. He's an afterthought in the Jets' unimpressive passing attach with the team's receiving corps healthy.
