Tyus Jones News, Rumors, Updates - Denver Nuggets

Coming off bench Wednesday Jones is not in the Suns' starting lineup against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Impact Jones started in Monday's loss to the Grizzlies and finished with 12 points, seven assists, three rebounds and one steal over 29 minutes. He will revert to a reserve role Wednesday due to the return of Bradley Beal (calf).

Hands out seven assists Jones logged 12 points (4-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Monday's 120-118 loss to the Grizzlies.

Impact Jones moved into a starting role Monday due to the absence of Bradley Beal (calf) and thrived as a playmaker, ending just three dimes away from recording a double-double. Jones also scored in double digits for the second time in five March appearances, but it'd be a stretch to rely on him to provide sustained scoring numbers. In fact, his fantasy upside is tied to Beal's availability, as Jones doesn't carry a lot of fantasy appeal if he comes off the bench.

Starting sans Beal Jones will start in Monday's game against Memphis, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

Impact The 28-year-old point guard will return to the starting five due to Bradley Beal (calf) being sidelined. Over 10 outings (three starts) since the All-Star break, Jones has averaged 5.6 points, 4.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds across 21.4 minutes per contest.

Back to bench Jones will come off the bench during Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.

Impact Jones started the last two games, but he will retreat to a bench role Sunday due to Bradley Beal (calf) returning to the lineup. In his last three games off the bench, Jones averaged 1.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 15.7 minutes per contest.

Hands out 12 assists in start Jones accumulated 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-6 3Pt), five rebounds, 12 assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Thursday's 124-116 loss to the Pelicans.

Impact Jones moved into the starting lineup due to the absence of Bradley Beal (calf), and the veteran floor general made the most of the opportunity by dishing double-digit dimes for the first time since Feb. 8. Beal's status for the second leg of this back-to-back set against the Pelicans is uncertain. Still, if he can't go, Jones is expected to remain in the starting lineup.

Back in starting lineup Jones is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

Impact Bradley Beal is sitting out with a calf injury Thursday, creating an opportunity for Jones to re-enter Phoenix's starting lineup and get a boost in fantasy value after he was recently moved to the bench. Over his last 12 appearances with the first unit, Jones has averaged 9.8 points, 5.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 27.9 minutes.

Coming off bench Saturday Jones is not in the Suns' starting lineup against the Bulls on Saturday.

Impact Jones has started in every game he's played in this season, but he'll be moved to a reserve role Saturday while Bradley Beal reenters the starting lineup. Jones has averaged 9.3 points, 5.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals over 28.1 minutes per game in February.

Shooting woes in loss Jones notched three points (1-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal over 23 minutes during Thursday's 120-109 loss to the Spurs.

Impact Jones delivered a lackluster performance on the offensive end, but he did record a block for just the seventh time this season. The 28-year-old had scored in double figures in each of his last five outings entering Thursday, though he struggled to get much of anything going against the Spurs. Over his last 10 appearances, Jones has averaged 8.5 points, 5.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per contest. He has recorded 31.9/32.7/87.5 shooting splits in that 10-game span.

Double-double against Denver Jones closed with 15 points (6-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt), three rebounds and 10 assists across 29 minutes during Saturday's 122-105 loss to the Nuggets.

Impact The double-double was the fifth of the season for Jones, and his first since Dec. 13. The 28-year-old guard has seen increased usage of late with both Kevin Durant (ankle) and Bradley Beal (toe) on the shelf, scoring in double digits in three straight games and averaging 13.7 points, 6.3 assists, 3.0 boards and 3.0 threes over that stretch despite shooting just 35.9 percent from the floor.

Held without a point Jones totaled zero points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three assists and one steal in 17 minutes during Monday's 121-119 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers.

Impact Jones saw his lowest workload of the season in the overtime loss and was held without a point for the second time this campaign. He's in the midst of a brutal slump, posting averages of 7.4 points, 3.6 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers on 38.2 percent shooting over his last five games.

Drains five threes Monday Jones produced 17 points (6-10 FG, 5-8 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists across 28 minutes during Monday's 111-109 win over the Clippers.

Impact The Suns pulled a huge win over the Clippers on Monday and Jones had an impressive performance, highlighting the fact that the five three-pointers made were one shy of his season-high mark. Even though Jones has a secondary role on offense for the Suns, he's been trending in the right direction of late and has scored in double digits in three of his last four appearances.

Leads from deep in double figures Jones had 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound and four assists over 27 minutes during Monday's 118-92 loss to Cleveland.

Impact Jones provided a spark from deep in Monday's contest, leading all Suns players in shots made from deep while handing out a team-high-tying assist total and finishing as one of four players with a double-digit point total. Jones has connected on three or more threes in 15 outings this season, his first game with more than one three in his last six contests.

Dishes out team-high 10 assists Jones racked up nine points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and three steals over 31 minutes during Thursday's 130-123 victory over Washington.

Impact It was the 28-year-old veteran guard's highest output in assists since he dished out 11 dimes during the Dec. 13 win over Utah, but Jones has now failed to hit double figures in scoring in six of his last seven games. His minutes have also fluctuated lately largely due to his defensive shortcomings, occasionally ceding playing time late in games to the likes of Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale. However, Jones remains among the league's elites when it comes to assist to turnover ratio, and he should continue to be a strong source of dimes with solid shooting splits.
