Runner-up in Dunk Contest Castle was the runner up to Mac McClung in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest after scoring 99.6 in the final round.
Impact Castle got the contest started with a nifty reverse windmill dunk that earned a score of 47.2. He followed that up with a lob dunk that scored 47.8, and his cumulative score was enough to beat out Andre Jackson and Matas Buzelis to qualify for the finals against McClung. Castle earned a perfect 50 for his second dunk of the final round, and despite earning a 49.6 on his first dunk, it wasn't enough to unseat McClung, who scored 50 on all four of his dunk attempts of the night. Castle won Rising Stars MVP honors Friday, and the rookie first-round pick will wrap up the weekend by participating in the All-Star Game Tournament on Team Candace, who will face off against Team Shaq in the first round.

Wins Rising Stars MVP Castle claimed Rising Stars MVP honors Friday after tallying 12 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 7:34 of court time in Team C's 25-14 win over...
Impact Team C demonstrated a balanced scoring effort during its 40-34 win over Team T in the semifinals, during which Castle finished with six points, four assists and four rebounds and hit the game-clinching shot. Castle carried the scoring load for Team C in the finals, and his efforts across both games was enough for him to be named MVP. Castle and Team C will advance to Sunday's All-Star event and will face Team Shaq in the semifinals. Castle will also face off against Matas Buzelis, Andre Jackson and Mac McClung in the Slam Dunk contest Saturday.

Scores 20 points vs. Boston Castle finished Wednesday's 116-103 loss to the Celtics with 20 points (7-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals over 24 minutes.
Impact Castle has come off the bench for the Spurs' last five games, coinciding with the arrival of De'Aaron Fox. Castle has played 24 minutes or less in three of those five games, and his playing time will likely continue to fluctuate so long as he's in a reserve role. There's always the possibility that Castle joins Fox in the Spurs' starting lineup after the All-Star break, but that would mean Chris Paul would have to revert to a bench role like he did with the Warriors during the 2023-24 season.

Lands career-high 33 points Castle finished with 33 points (10-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 10-11 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Friday's 117-116 loss to the Hornets.
Impact Castle scored a career-high 33 points despite continuing to come off the bench. The arrival of De'Aaron Fox saw Castle move to the second unit in the previous game, during which he managed just 11 points. While this was a much-improved performance, there is a chance he was simply left on the court as the Spurs made a late run. He should remain a key piece for San Antonio but his playing time could fluctuate from one game to the next.

Heading to bench Wednesday Castle won't be in the starting in Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Impact With De'Aaron Fox set to make his Spurs debut Wednesday, Castle is slated to come off San Antonio's bench for the first time since Jan. 6. Over 17 appearances from the Spurs' second unit, Castle has averaged 7.2 points, 2.8 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 18.7 minutes, so his fantasy value appears likely to take a hit with Fox in the mix.

Notches 21 points Castle recorded 21 points (9-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 128-109 loss to the Grizzlies.
Impact Castle recorded his 10th game of the season with at least 20 points as he continues to trend up for the Spurs -- he's averaging 16.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.8 three-pointers over his last six games. Big changes are coming to San Antonio, however, as the Spurs acquired De'Aaron Fox. Castle is likely to remain very involved in the rotation, but it's hard to see his fantasy value not taking a hit with this move.

Showcases talent in huge win Castle recorded 20 points (5-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-10 FT), eight rebounds and six assists across 30 minutes during Friday's 144-118 victory over Milwaukee.
Impact Castle reached the 20-point mark for a second consecutive game, but based on how good he's been playing in recent weeks, it shouldn't be surprising to see the rookie floor general turn heads with his play. He's scored in double digits in seven of his last eight starts, averaging 18.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest in that span.

Productive in loss Castle closed with 20 points (8-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two steals over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 128-116 loss to the Clippers.
Impact Castle has now scored 20 or more points in four of his last 10 outings. While the rookie guard has shown off his ability to get to the rim and make a strong defensive impact, he is converting just 26.1 percent of his 3.8 three-point attempts per contest this season.
