Starting Thursday Fontecchio is in the starting lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Lakers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact Fontecchio is replacing Norman Powell in the starting lineup for Thursday's game, and it'll be Davion Mitchell, Tyler Herro, Pelle Larsson and Bam Adebayo joining him in the first unit. Through five starts this season, Fontecchio has averaged 9.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 treys per game.

Impact The Heat were a little shorthanded Tuesday, allowing Fontecchio to see an expanded role. It's worth noting, however, that Keshad Johnson made a really strong impression on the coaching staff, and he could be a threat to Fontecchio's minutes going forward.

Even though he saw an expanded role due to the absences of Tyler Herro (quadriceps) and Norman Powell (groin), as his 22 minutes were the most he's played since Feb. 11, he showed what he can bring to the table as a floor-spacer. As long as Fontecchio can drain threes with any consistency, he should find a spot in the rotation, although the inconsistent and limited role doesn't bode well for his fantasy prospects.
