Lakers News: Should The Lakers Trade For De'Aaron Fox?Would the Kings even be open to doing that?
NOVEMBER 2, 2022•STAR-TELEGRAM.COM
Trey Lyles - Dealing with foot injuryLyles is questionable for Wednesday's game due to right foot soreness.
ImpactLyles played a season-high 21 minutes during Monday's win over the Hornets, but he presumably picked up a foot injury as well. If he's sidelined, KZ Okpala, Richaun Holmes and Chimezie Metu would be likely candidates for increased roles.

De'Aaron Fox - Avoids major damage, out WednesdayFox has avoided structural damage in his knee and revealed a bone bruise, but he has been ruled out for Wednesday's game versus the Heat, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ImpactWhen players go for an MRI, there are inherent thoughts of a long-term issue, so his results are at least encouraging. The star point guard will sit out at least a game Wednesday because of the issue, which positions Davion Mitchell -- who broke out in extended run Monday -- in position to join the starting lineup. Veteran Matthew Dellavedova could also line up for a few extra minutes off the bench.

Kevin Huerter - Another massive effort MondayHuerter closed Monday's 115-108 win over the Hornets with 26 points (8-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 36 minutes.
ImpactHuerter has gone for 26-plus in back-to-back games and filled out the rest of his stat line nicely Monday, which isn't something he usually accomplishes. Huerter attempted a season-high 16 shots -- including 10 from beyond the arc. His recent efforts should put him on track for sizable run and usage, especially if De'Aaron Fox misses time following an early exit with a knee injury Monday. Fox has already been ruled out of Wednesday's game at Miami, though it's unclear how much time he'll miss.

Cody Martin - Receives doubtful tagMartin (quad) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Bulls, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ImpactMartin logged one minute in the opener versus San Antonio and hasn't rejoined the action since. Barring a turnaround in his status over the next 24 hours, he's looking toward Friday against the Grizzlies for his next chance to suit up.

Terry Rozier - Termed doubtful for WednesdayRozier (ankle) is labeled doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Bulls, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ImpactRozier's ankle issue suffered Oct. 21 against the Pelicans has now kept him out more than a week, leaving the Hornets down both of their top two options to start at point guard. Dennis Smith has been operating in that role of late and should remain the starter Wednesday, assuming Rozier sits.

LaMelo Ball - Still sidelined WednsedayBall (ankle) remains out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ImpactBall doesn't have a firm timetable for his return to action, but his next opportunity to do so surfaces Friday against the Grizzlies. With Terry Rozier (ankle) also doubtful, Dennis Smith figures to handle starting duties on the ball again Wednesday.
