Impact This is a tough blow for Murray and the Kings. Based on this timetable, Murray will likely be sidelined until at least Nov. 14 against the Timberwolves. That's the front end of that timetable, however, and that means a minimum of 10 regular-season games on the shelf. In Murray's absence, the Kings could roll with a smaller lineup by moving DeMar DeRozan over to the four, and it could create more opportunities for guys like Nique Clifford, Malik Monk and Keon Ellis.

Impact Sabonis started out cold and couldn't get anything going in the narrow loss, and was eventually pulled in favor of backups after racking up five fouls. His tepid showing is no cause for alarm, and it serves the Kings better to test out their bench over playing Sabonis for max minutes in the preseason. When the regular season begins, he will once again be a nightly double-double threat.

Impact Friday's mediocre total is what to expect from DeRozan and the rest of the starters throughout the preseason, as they will play well under their usual allotment of minutes. As one of Sacramento's best offensive weapons, DeRozan will be a consistent contributor who can be acquired a little later than one might think in fantasy drafts. The veteran averaged a respectable 22.2 points, 4.4 assists, 3-9 rebounds and 0.8 steals over 77 games last season.

Impact Saric did nothing under the basket in the narrow loss, but he flashed his perimeter skills with four drained three-pointers. The veteran center has often shown off his ability to sink the deep ball throughout his career, but the Kings need him to serve as a backup to Domantas Sabonis, and he'll need to post a higher rebound total on a regular basis to overtake Drew Eubanks, who seems to have a firm handle on the role. After a disappointing stint with the Nuggets last season, his chances for quality playing time aren't much better in Sacramento.
