Impact Covington and Powell add depth to a Clippers team that may very well be without Kawhi Leonard (knee) and Paul George (elbow) for the remainder of the season. Covington started his final 14 appearances for the Trail Blazers, and he'll presumably be competing for a starting spot in Los Angeles against Nicolas Batum. Even if Covington comes off the bench, he could still see roughly 30 minutes given his ability to play both forward spots and some small-ball center. The situation is probably a minor downgrade, so fantasy managers who picked up Covington recently may take a hit, but the veteran should still be able to provide nice three-and-D production.

Turns in scoreless fantasy gem Covington had zero points (0-8 FG, 0-6 3Pt), 13 rebounds, nine assists, one block and four steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 99-94 loss to the Lakers.

Impact In terms of scoring, Covington was atrocious Wednesday, missing all eight of his field-goal attempts -- six of which came from three-point range -- to finish with a goose egg in the box score. However, the veteran forward mostly made up for the poor shooting with a well-rounded collection of peripheral stats that included a season-high 13 boards and nine assists along with four thefts. Fantasy managers know by now that offense is Covington's weakness, so a stat line like this isn't entirely surprising nor disappointing.

Covington's defensive prowess gives him some fantasy value, but managers may find it hard to stomach his 39.0 percent field-goal rate and 7.8 points per game on the season.
