Jae Crowder - Hurts foot Sunday Crowder appeared to suffer a right foot injury midway through the third quarter of Sunday's 127-124 overtime win over the Kings, Michael Wagaman of the Associated Press reports. He...
Impact Crowder was back in action after missing the previous two games with groin soreness, but he now has a new issue to contend with as the Suns prepare for a three-game week that includes a Wednesday/Thursday back-to-back set in Minnesota and Denver, respectively. Cameron Johnson (quadriceps) was also sidelined for a ninth straight contest Sunday, and if he and Crowder can't go in Minnesota, the Suns would likely turn to Torrey Craig to cover heavy minutes at power forward.

Chris Paul - Could return sooner than expected Paul, who has been sidelined since the All-Star break with a fractured right thumb, appears on track to return before his team-issued recovery timeline of 6-to-8 weeks, with a sou...
Impact The recovery timeline provided by the Suns would have ruled out Paul until at least April 3, but the veteran point guard looks as though he might be back in action nearly two weeks earlier than anticipated. According to Amick, Paul has ramped up his conditioning activities of late and was spotted going through a rigorous workout prior to Sunday's 127-124 overtime win over the Kings in Sacramento. How Paul fares in his conditioning work Monday and Tuesday will likely determine whether he's given the green light to play Wednesday, but even if the 36-year-old isn't deemed read for game action by then, he looks as though he'll be back in business before long. Since Paul isn't dealing with any sort of lower-body injury, he shouldn't face any strict limitations with his playing time once he returns, provided his thumb has fully healed. Even so, the Suns have gone 10-4 in his absence to strengthen their hold on the NBA's top record (58-14), and the team's comfortable position atop the Western Conference and its propensity for blowing out other clubs means that Paul may not be asked to regularly clear the 30-minute mark anyway as the regular season winds down.

Damian Jones - Posts well-rounded line Jones logged 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block across 22 minutes during Sunday's 127-124 overtime loss to Phoenix.
Impact With starting center Domantas Sabonis (knee) in the fourth quarter, Jones was called on to fill the void admirably while doubling up his minute total (11) from the previous three games combined. If Jones can consistently get a 20-plus-minute role, he would have some low-end appeal in 12-team leagues, but his path to meaningful playing time is almost entirely contingent on the health of Sabonis. The Kings should provide an update on Sabonis' condition before they head out on a five-game road trip that begins Wednesday in Indiana.

Davion Mitchell - Impressive despite loss Mitchell logged 28 points (9-22 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 46 minutes during Sunday's 127-124 overtime loss to the Suns.
Impact Mitchell didn't have his best shooting effort, as he needed 22 shots just to score 28 points, but he thrived in other categories and ended just one assist away from posting what would've been his first double-double of the season. Mitchell has played mostly off the bench this season, but he should remain in the starting unit until De'Aaron Fox (hand) is able to return.
