Bradley Beal - Will have minutes monitored Coach Frank Vogel said Beal (back) will have his minutes monitored during Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Impact Vogel wouldn't specify exactly how many minutes Beal will play during his season debut, but the Suns' big offseason addition will be starting Wednesday's contest. Devin Booker (calf) remains sidelined, so while he's on the court, Beal should serve as the No. 2 offensive option behind Kevin Durant.

Impact Although Booker will likely miss another game Wednesday, the Suns hope he could be back in action as early as Friday against the Lakers, with Sunday against Oklahoma City and Wednesday against Minnesota considered other options to return. Bradley Beal (back) is also in the mix to return soon, so the Suns are getting closer to seeing their core group of players on the court together. A better idea of Booker's status for Wednesday's matchup should come into focus once the Suns release their injury report, but it sounds more likely that Booker will be in the mix to suit up Friday.

Impact Similar to Eric Gordon, Allen has been forced to handle a bigger-than-expected role due to the injury issues of Bradley Beal (back) and Devin Booker (calf), but he seems to be handling it well. Allen can produce regardless of whether he plays as a starter or off the bench, but he's undoubtedly enjoying an uptick in his fantasy upside due to the expanded role. While it's too early to suggest he will experience a long-term uptick, he can be a serviceable streaming option in most formats as long as he remains part of the first unit.

Impact The Suns needed Durant to step his game up following the injuries of Devin Booker (calf) and Bradley Beal (back), with the latter yet to make his season debut, and as is often the case with him, Durant responded when needed. The 41 points represented a season-high mark for Durant, who has enjoyed a very high usage rate as the Suns' primary scorer and ball handler, and while that will change once one of Booker or Beal -- or both -- returns, his role as a scoring machine won't. He has scored at least 26 points in six games in a row while topping the 30-point plateau in the last two.

Impact Gordon has been trusted into a larger role than initially expected given the injury woes of both Devin Booker (calf) and Bradley Beal (back), but the veteran has responded well and has delivered when called upon duty. There's no question Kevin Durant has been the Suns' main scoring weapon across the first two weeks of the season, and that is not going to change any time soon, but Gordon will remain valuable -- regardless of the format -- as long as he stays in the starting lineup. Gordon is averaging 18.0 points per game through five starts.
