Impact Charania reported Anunoby to be "close to returning to game action" on Monday, but this provides an even more specific timeline for the forward, who has been sidelined since Jan. 27 with a nagging elbow injury. The potential return of Anunoby would provide a huge defensive boost for a Knicks team hampered by injuries in recent weeks, though it would also hit Precious Achiuwa's fantasy upside. A confirmation of Anunoby's injury status should be given once the Knicks release their official injury report.

Impact Anunoby advanced to contact work, including five-on-five scrimmages, last week, so this isn't a major update but does confirm he didn't suffer a setback following his ramp-up period. Despite trending in the right direction, Anunoby may remain out for Tuesday's home matchup against Portland, though the Knicks haven't released their injury report yet. Following that matchup, New York begins a four-game road trip which starts Thursday in Portland and ends March 21 in Denver. When Anunoby returns to game action, he'll presumably have a minutes restriction for at least a few games.

Tyrese Maxey - Clears concussion protocol Maxey has cleared concussion protocol and will play Tuesday versus the Knicks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Impact Maxey has missed four straight games while in concussion protocols, but he'll return to action for a rematch against the Knicks. Before his absence, Maxey was on a roll, averaging 28.0 points, 5.9 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 38.8 minutes per game, but the star guard may face some limitations following over a week off.

Isaiah Hartenstein - Plays 24 minutes in loss Hartenstein supplied three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists across 24 minutes during Sunday's 79-73 loss to Philadelphia.
Impact Hartenstein didn't seem comfortable Sunday, and at one point he briefly went to the locker room in the third quarter. He was sporting a heating pad on his back on the bench, but he was able to return to the game. According to Fred Katz of The Athletic, coach Tom Thibodeau said he was unaware of any injury and it doesn't sound like he's dealing with anything too serious.
