Reports to Orlando Jokic (illness) officially joined the Nuggets in Orlando on Tuesday.

Impact The Nuggets' official Twitter account posted photos of the big man in Orlando after his arrival was delayed by a positive coronavirus test. While his absence was certainly newsworthy, Jokic's status for the NBA restart never appeared to be in much jeopardy. Assuming he's moved past the positive test, which occurred in June while he was in Serbia, the slimmed-down Jokic should be available when the Nuggets begin their eight-game finish to the regular season on Aug. 1 against Miami.

Impact It's been almost three weeks since Jokic tested positive for the coronavirus. He's recovering well, but finding a flight from Serbia to the United States is causing him difficulty. As of now, it doesn't seem imminent that he'll miss any games, but the clock is certainly ticking. At the very least, Jokic will probably be behind his teammates from a conditioning standpoint.

Impact Shortly after the news of Jokic's positive test arrived last week, reports surfaced indicating that the star center wasn't showing any symptoms of COVID-19 and was progressing well, so Malone's comments on the matter aren't overly surprising. Even so, it's encouraging for the Nuggets that Jokic, who is currently in Serbia, still plans to return to the United States to join the team when it heads to Orlando next Tuesday. Because he'll miss out on a few training sessions, Jokic could find himself behind the rest of his teammates from a conditioning standpoint, but he shouldn't face any restrictions by the time the playoffs begin.
