Rudy Gobert - Double-double against Kings Gobert amassed 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds and two blocks across 36 minutes during Friday's 124-111 loss to the Kings.
Impact The veteran center is up to 11 double-doubles through 15 games to begin the season, a big improvement on his first season with the Timberwolves when he managed only 35 in 70 contests. Gobert has also recorded multiple blocks in 11 games, and his 2.2 blocks per game is back in the range he lived in with Utah. Minnesota is 11-4 so far, and the decision to run it back with Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns and give the duo a chance to develop some chemistry in the frontcourt is paying dividends.

Impact It's his second straight double-double and eighth of the year in 15 games, as Towns finally begins to look comfortable in the frontcourt alongside Rudy Gobert. Towns has scored 20 or more in nine straight games, averaging 25.6 points, 8.9 boards, 3.2 assists, 2.6 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks over that stretch while posting a 57.9/53.5/90.7 shooting line.

Anthony Edwards - Pours in 35 against Kings Edwards provided 35 points (8-21 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 17-18 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals across 40 minutes during Friday's 124-111 loss to Sacramento.
Impact The fourth-year guard led the Timberwolves in scoring as he topped 30 points for the sixth time in 15 games, but he didn't get a lot of help -- Karl-Anthony Towns was the only other Minnesota player to supply more than 12 points. Edwards' game continues to grow, and the 2020 first overall pick is headed for career highs with 26.7 points, 6.0 boards and 5.1 assists per game, as well as in all three shooting percentages (46.1/37.5/86.7).

Impact Alexander-Walker was inserted into the starting five with Jaden McDaniels (ankle) expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks. While Alexander-Walker didn't see a sizeable usage increase, he contributed on both ends and didn't commit a turnover. Fantasy managers should still consider adding Alexander-Walker, with Kyle Anderson making for a decent pickup option as well. When seeing at least 24 minutes last season, Alexander-Walker averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks.

All things considered, Wednesday was one of Edwards' best all-around games of 2023-24. Fantasy managers who drafted him in the second round haven't had much to complain about.
