Impact Edwards tweaked his ankle back on Tuesday and has been dealing with soreness ever since, but he obviously seemed fine Wednesday versus Memphis when he poured in 34 points in 40 minutes.

Impact No surprise here, as Anderson was considered doubtful for the contest. In his absence, Naz Reid and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are candidates to absorb some of Anderson's minutes off the bench. His next chance to play will come Sunday versus the Clippers.

Impact After appearing in only six games with the Pistons this season (quad), Morris has seemingly found an opportunity to contribute after the Feb. 7 trade, averaging 17.3 minutes per game. Despite a lackluster night from the field, the 28-year-old was still able to contribute with five assists, his most in a game this season. With Jordan McLaughlin averaging a career low 8.8 minutes per game, expect Morris to continue providing solid depth behind Mike Conley.

Naz Reid - Impresses off bench in win Reid finished Wednesday's 110-101 win over the Grizzlies with 19 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 25 minutes.
Impact Reid has been one of the best bench performers this season, and although that role limits his upside a bit, he continues to find ways to make an impact on offense as the primary backup of both Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns. Reid has scored in double digits in eight of his last 10 appearances, averaging 12.6 points and shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range in that span.

Impact Towns didn't have his best showing Wednesday, though to be fair, he wasn't heavily involved on offense, which is quickly becoming a negative trend -- his 13 field goal attempts represent the third time over his last five games in which he didn't attempt 15 shots. Towns' place as the Timberwolves' second-best offensive weapon behind Anthony Edwards is not in danger, but he is also experiencing some regression compared to his previous seasons. Even if his numbers are not the same ones from the previous two campaigns, he remains an elite big man who must be rostered in all formats.

Edwards is firmly entrenched as the Timberwolves' primary offensive weapon, and the numbers back him up. Over Minnesota's last 10 games, the All-Star guard is averaging 31.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
