GAME LOG

Javon Small - Logs career-high 22 points Small ended with 22 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one block across 28 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Impact Ja Morant's (elbow) extended absence has sent ripples through Memphis' rotation, and it's resulted in meaningful minutes for Small off the bench. A turf toe injury stymied Small's league debut earlier in the season, but the team's decision to keep the rookie with the patent club will begin to show dividends as they navigate a campaign that's destined for a rebuild.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper - Posts career-high 25 points Prosper ended with 25 points (9-13 FG, 7-8 3Pt) and five rebounds over 25 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 loss to Portland.
Impact Prosper is well positioned to succeed after Jaren Jackson's trade, and although he's still coming off the bench, he's getting his first real chance as a daily contributor in the league. A return to the G League is highly unlikely for Prosper, who should be a key part of Memphis' rebuilding effort as the team's playoff hopes fade.

FEBRUARY 8 • SPORTINGNEWS.COM
Kyle Anderson - Starting Saturday Anderson is starting against the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Impact The Grizzlies don't have a lot of frontcourt players available, so Anderson will be their nominal center. The veteran will make his Memphis debut Saturday after not playing in Friday's loss to the Trail Blazers. Anderson averaged 7.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 20 contests off the bench with the Jazz before the trade to Memphis.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Ty Jerome - Back in starting lneup Jerome is part of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Jerome got the night off Friday, and he'll be back in action Saturday in a starting role. Jerome has played between 19 and 21 minutes in all three of his appearances this season, but given Memphis slew of unavailable guards, Jerome could be forced to play more minutes.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Starting vs. Portland Caldwell-Pope will start against the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Impact The Grizzlies will be without several key contributors Saturday, so Caldwell-Pope will enter the starting five for the first time since Nov. 12. As a starter this season (13 games), the veteran guard has averaged 8.1 points, 3.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds across 23.3 minutes per contest.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Olivier-Maxence Prosper - Slides back to bench Prosper isn't part of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact The Grizzlies have been severely shorthanded in the frontcourt recently, and it was Prosper who was called upon to serve as the team's starting center last time out. However, Kyle Anderson is available Saturday night, and the veteran forward will take over center duties from Prosper. Given the Grizzlies' sheer lack of bodies, expect Prosper to see significant run off the bench.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Jahmai Mashack - Starting Saturday Mashack will start against Portland on Saturday.
Impact With the Grizzlies extremely shorthanded in the second leg of this back-to-back set, the two-way player will make his first career start. Mashack has logged 20-plus minutes in back-to-back games, averaging 3.5 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per tilt during that span.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Cedric Coward - Ruled out Saturday Coward (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Impact As expected, Coward will miss the second leg of this back-to-back set due to right shoulder soreness, and his next opportunity to play will come Monday against the Warriors. The Grizzlies will be extremely shorthanded in the backcourt Saturday, so Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Walter Clayton and Jahmai Mashack will likely see increased playing time.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Jaylen Wells - No-go Saturday Wells (shoulder) won't play in Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Wells will miss his first game of the season Saturday, and he's one of several key contributors to sit out the tail end of the team's back-to-back set. Kentavioius Caldwell-Pope, Walter Clayton and Jahmai Mashack should all see significant run Saturday. Wells' next chance to play will come Monday at Golden State.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Cam Spencer - Downgraded to out Spencer (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Portland, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Spencer will miss the tail end of the Grizzlies' back-to-back set due to a sore right ankle. The 25-year-old's absence could mean more opportunities for Walter Clayton, Jahmai Mashack or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Spencer's next chance to play will come Monday at Golden State.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Scotty Pippen Jr. - Ruled out Saturday Pippen (toe) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Pippen made his regular-season debut in Friday's loss to the Trail Blazers but will sit out the second leg of this back-to-back due to left great toe injury management. His next opportunity to play will come Monday against Golden State. The Grizzlies are expected to be extremely shorthanded in the backcourt Saturday, leaving more minutes available for the likes of Javon Small, Walter Clayton, Jahmai Mashack and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Cedric Coward - Doubtful Saturday Coward (shoulder) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Coward is likely to miss the second half of this back-to-back set due to right shoulder soreness. Jaylen Wells (shoulder) is also doubtful, so Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jahmai Mashack and Walter Clayton could all see a significant bump in playing time, especially if Cam Spencer (ankle) is downgraded from questionable to out.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Santi Aldama - Another absence coming Aldama (knee) is out for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Aldama will be sidelined for a second straight contest. The Grizzlies won't be playing for much down the stretch as they focus on their rebuild, so it will be interesting to see if maintenance days become a common theme.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Will play Saturday Caldwell-Pope (rest) will play Saturday against Portland.
Impact After getting the night off Friday for the front end of this back-to-back set, the veteran wing has the green light to return. He'll likely play a key role Saturday with so many Grizzlies on the injury report.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Jaylen Wells - Doubtful Saturday Wells (shoulder) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Impact Wells is expected to miss his first game of the season Saturday, which comes on the second half of a back-to-back set, due to right shoulder soreness. With Cedric Coward (shoulder) also doubtful, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Walter Clayton and Jahmai Mashack will likely see increased playing time.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Cam Spencer - Questionable to play Saturday Spencer (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Impact Spencer is dealing with right ankle soreness and is in jeopardy of missing the second leg of this back-to-back set. If the 25-year-old guard isn't cleared to suit up, Walter Clayton, Jahmai Mashack and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would likely see increased playing time, especially if Cedric Coward (shoulder) and Jaylen Wells (shoulder) are downgraded from doubtful to out.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Kyle Anderson - Good to go Saturday Anderson (illness) is available for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Anderson is all set to make his Memphis debut after missing the front end of this back-to-back set. The Grizzlies are very thin in the frontcourt, and Anderson has a chance to carve out a sizable role.
FEBRUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Ty Jerome - Available to play Jerome (calf) is available for Saturday's game against Portland.
Impact Jerome is back in the mix after getting a maintenance day Friday on the front end of the back-to-back set. The Grizzlies are very thin Saturday and Jerome offers plenty of streaming upside for this contest.
