Decent stat line Friday Edwards ended Friday's 122-111 loss to the Grizzlies with 13 points (4-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 29 minutes.
Impact Kessler moved into a starting role Friday and didn't disappoint, although fantasy managers probably would've expected better numbers in the rebounding department given that he was the starting center. Edwards should continue to have a sizable role in the frontcourt in the upcoming games, as the Mavs are depleted in terms of depth. They're currently missing P.J. Washington (ankle), Kai Jones (quadriceps), Dereck Lively (ankle), Daniel Gafford (knee), Anthony Davis (thigh) and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (wrist) due to injuries.
MARCH 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Back in starting lineup Friday Edwards is in Dallas' starting lineup against Memphis on Friday, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Edwards came off the bench in Wednesday's 137-107 loss to the Bucks, but he has been inserted back into the starting lineup for Friday's contest. The 2021 second-round pick has averaged 4.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 15.3 minutes per game since the All-Star break.
MARCH 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Not in starting lineup Wednesday Edwards is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Edwards got the start in the loss to the Kings on Monday, notching six points, four rebounds and four assists across 22 minutes. He's been alternating between the starting lineup and the bench in recent weeks, but regardless of his role, his fantasy upside is mostly limited to deep formats, with the former Pepperdine standout being a streaming option in most cases.
MARCH 6, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Running with starters Edwards is starting Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Impact Edwards will make his return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in his last appearance Thursday and failing to check in during Saturday's matchup. He should be more involved Monday considering P.J. Washington has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
MARCH 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Returning to bench role Edwards isn't starting Thursday's game against the Hornets, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Impact Edwards has started his team's last six games, but he'll revert to a bench role Thursday. This opens the door for Moses Brown to draw a start at center, though Edwards should also factor into the mix.
FEBRUARY 28, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Grabs eight boards vs. Warriors Edwards closed Sunday's 126-102 loss to Golden State with six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 14 minutes.
Impact Edwards only played 14 minutes in Sunday's blowout loss, but he managed to grab eight boards which tied with Moses Brown for most on the Mavericks. Edwards has started at center in five straight games due to the absence of Anthony Davis (abdomen), and the former should remain in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Lakers.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Season-best effort Thursday Edwards amassed 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt), nine rebounds and three assists in 40 minutes during Thursday's 118-113 win over Miami.
Impact Making his third straight start for the shorthanded Mavs, Edwards set season highs in points and rebounds while handling a massive workload. The 24-year-old forward is averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals in 33.0 minutes over those three contests, and with both Anthony Davis (thigh) and Daniel Gafford (knee) both facing extended absences, there could still be a role for Edwards on the other side of the All-Star break.
FEBRUARY 14, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Taking advantage of opportunity Edwards recorded four points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 111-107 victory over Golden State.
Impact The 24-year-old is shouldering a big workload in the Mavericks' injury-ravaged frontcourt, and while he doesn't offer much offense of his own, Edwards is making an impact with his defense. He's contributed multiple steals and blocks in back-to-back starts while averaging 29.5 minutes a contest, and Wednesday's six assists were also a career high. P.J. Washington (ankle) won't be back until the weekend at the earliest while Anthony Davis (thigh) figures to be sidelined into March, so Edwards could continue to have some short-term value as a bargain DFS option.
FEBRUARY 13, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Blocks two shots Edwards had six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 129-128 overtime loss to Sacramento.
Impact Edwards drew the start at forward Monday with Anthony Davis (adductor) and P.J. Washington (ankle) sidelined. He had a strong showing on the defensive end, but Edwards is typically a low-usage player that doesn't make a ton of noise in the box score. Over his last five games, he's averaging 3.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.6 steals in 17.0 minutes.

Back in starting lineup Edwards has been elevated to the starting lineup for Monday's game against Sacramento, Deuce Mason of NBC Sports California reports.
Impact Edwards will rejoin the starting lineup due to the absences of Anthony Davis (adductor) and P.J. Washington (ankle). Monday night will be Edwards' third start out of his last four games and fourth overall, but expect Naji Marshall and potentially Olivier-Maxence Prosper to occupy the majority of the team's minutes at power forward.

Retreats to bench Edwards isn't in the starting five for Saturday's game versus the Rockets, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
Impact Edwards will be replaced by Anthony Davis in the starting lineup Saturday. Edwards is averaging 3.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16.4 minutes across his previous five appearances coming off the bench.
FEBRUARY 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Getting starting nod Edwards is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the 76ers, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Impact Edwards will replace Olivier-Maxence Prosper in the starting five Tuesday. Edwards tallied seven points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes during his only other starting appearance this season.
FEBRUARY 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Fails to score in return to bench Edwards ended Saturday's 122-107 loss to the Celtics with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and one block across 12 minutes.
Impact Edwards moved back to the bench following the return of Klay Thompson. As expected, the move signaled an end to any chance Kessler had of being a meaningful contributor. Outside of his spot start in the previous game, Edwards had logged more than 10 minutes only once all season. It would appear as though he is on the outside looking in when it comes to playing a sizeable role moving forward.
JANUARY 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Retreating to bench Saturday Edwards is not in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Celtics on Saturday, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact The 2021 second-round pick made his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Thursday against the Thunder, and he finished with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 23 minutes in a 121-115 win. Edwards will come off the bench Saturday while Klay Thompson returns to the starting lineup following a two-game absence due to a sprained left ankle.
JANUARY 25, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Making first start of season Edwards is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Thunder, Mavericks radio play-by-play broadcaster Chuck Cooperstein reports.
Impact The Mavericks will be depleted when it comes to their wing depth for this contest, so Edwards will get the start at small forward. Edwards has made 14 appearances off the bench this season and is averaging a mere 3.6 minutes per contest.
JANUARY 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Available for Thursday Edwards (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Spurs, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Impact Edwards was battling a minor ankle issue, but it appears to be behind him. Despite his availability, Edwards isn't guaranteed to see any playing time.
OCTOBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in practice Edwards (ankle) went through the non-contact portion of Saturday's practice, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Edwards missed all of the preseason while dealing with a sprained ankle. However, it appears Edwards is progressing in his recovery ahead of Thursday's regular-season opener against San Antonio.
OCTOBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not playing vs. Bucks Edwards (ankle) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Bucks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Impact The Mavericks will be resting several players for their preseason finale, and Edwards' roster status is very much in the air as a result of the ongoing injury. If he survives the final round of roster cuts, which is already a long shot, Edwards would be destined for a minimal role off the Dallas bench.
OCTOBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting vs. Clippers Edwards (ankle) won't play in Monday's preseason game against Los Angeles.
Impact Edwards will miss his third straight preseason matchup while on the mend from an ankle sprain. He'll have one final chance to suit up Thursday against the Bucks before the start of the regular season.
OCTOBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not playing Thursday Edwards (ankle) will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz.
Impact Edwards is set to miss a second consecutive preseason contest. His next chance to play will come against the Clippers on Monday, though he's a long shot to crack the Opening Night roster even if healthy.
OCTOBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Won't suit up Monday Edwards (ankle) will not play in Monday's preseason game against Memphis.
Impact Edwards has been sidelined for nearly a week, but he remains day-to-day. His next chance to play will be Thursday's preseason contest against Utah.
OCTOBER 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined by ankle sprain Edwards has a sprained ankle and was unable to participate in Wednesday's practice, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Edwards' availability for Monday's preseason opener against Memphis could be in jeopardy. It's an unfortunate incident for the 24-year-old, who is looking to make an impression while on a two-way contract with Dallas, but the severity of his injury is unknown.
