Impact Whiteside shifted into a reserve role as Jusuf Nurkic reclaimed the starting center gig. Nurkic was downright spectacular, finishing with 18 points, nine boards, six swats, five dimes and two steals in 33 minutes, while Whiteside may very well have seen even less playing time had Nurkic not fouled out. As such, Whiteside may not be an appealing option for fantasy purposes in the near future unless Nurkic receives a night off at some point.

Scores 21 on 10 field-goal attempts Anthony contributed 21 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 140-135 overtime win against the Grizzlies.

Impact Anthony committed five turnovers and five fouls but was absurdly efficient from the field, finishing with over twice as many points as field-goal attempts. Though Anthony is essentially the fourth option offensively, behind the likes of Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic, he is clearly capable of filling it up on any given night. Expecting Anthony to maintain this level of efficiency is a recipe for disappointment. However, the fact that he earned so many minutes (albeit in an overtime game) bodes well for his potential fantasy value going forward.

Impact Nurkic fouled out but otherwise was absolutely sensational in this his first official game since fracturing his leg back in March of 2019. He dominated the paint defensively, made every one of his free-throw attempts, and showcased his elite passing ability (for his position). With each game being extremely important for the Trail Blazers as they chase a playoff spot, Nurkic seems like a very strong option for fantasy purposes.

Starting in restart opener Nurkic will start Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Aaron J. Fentress of The Oregonian reports.

Impact The first game of the resumed season will mark Nurkic's first appearance since March 25 of 2019, as he suffered a gruesome leg injury. He's looked good in the scrimmages, and he's taken back his starting spot from Hassan Whiteside. In Nurkic's 72 appearances in 2018-19, he averaged 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals in 27.4 minutes.

Limited production in third scrimmage Nurkic registered five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 131-120 scrimmage loss to the Thunder.

Impact Nurkic was coming off back-to-back double-digit scoring performances in the first two scrimmages, but he only logged 16 minutes in this game -- perhaps as the Blazers didn't want to take any risks with their star center. Regardless of whether he starts once the regular season resumes, Nurkic will definitively log decent minutes for the Blazers down the stretch.

Plays 18 minutes in scrimmage Whiteside posted six points (3-6 FG), five rebounds and two blocks in Sunday's scrimmage against Toronto.

Impact After sitting out the first scrimmage with an Achilles injury, Whiteside returned to action and was in the starting lineup alongside Jusuf Nurkic, while Zach Collins shifted to the bench. The Blazers' frontcourt rotation is something to monitor as the seeding games approach.

Impact In his second scrimmage, Nurkic saw 27 minutes of action as a part of a starting lineup that also included Hassan Whiteside. Nurkic struggled from the floor, but it was partially due to a rough night from beyond the arc. The Blazers hit just seven of 28 attempts from three as a team.
