Late addition to injury report Sochan has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota due to an illness, Ty Jager of PoundingTheRock.com reports.

Impact Sochan was a late scratch Sunday morning due to an illness and will join Devin Vassell (knee) and Josh Richardson (back) in street clothes. Given the aforementioned players' absences, expect Doug McDermott, Blake Wesley, Romeo Langford and Malaki Branham to see increased roles against the Timberwolves.

Another solid performance Friday Sochan ended with 13 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Friday's 129-124 victory over Chicago.

Impact Sochan cobbled together another serviceable performance in the win, continuing to creep ever so slowly onto the standard league radar. He has now scored in double digits in three straight games, playing at least 23 minutes in all three. The Spurs seem to love having him on the floor and developing him is going to be a key motivator moving forward. He isn't quite there as a must-add player but for anyone who can take a bit of a risk, consider throwing him on the end of your bench.

Quiet night in starting role Sochan logged four points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 129-102 loss to the Hornets.

Impact Sochan was underwhelming in the loss, although the playing time was encouraging. Scoring is not going to be a strength for the rookie, with his appeal built on boards and defensive numbers. He was able to contribute in both of these areas, so while it was an inauspicious outing, he did enough to remain viable in standard leagues.

Starting again Tuesday Sochan will start in Tuesday's preseason matchup with the Jazz, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.

Impact Sochan will make his second consecutive start in the preseason. In Sunday's preseason game, he tallied four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes. Sochan will bump Doug McDermott to the bench for Tuesday's game.

Sochan chose to remain in San Antonio before the start of camp instead of competing for Poland at EuroBasket, so his health shouldn't be an issue.
