Impact Sochan started at point guard once again, and coach Gregg Popovich was pleased enough to name him the starting floor general for Opening Night. Sochan averaged 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game in three preseason contests, and it remains to be seen how he'll handle the rigors of playing as a point forward once the regular season begins next week. However, he has the potential to become a stat-filling machine.

Unlikely for final two games Gregg Popovich said it's unlikely that Jeremy Sochan (knee) will play in San Antonio's final two regular-season games, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Impact "Jeremy has got his knee problem," said Popovich. "There are legitimate medical reasons why some guys aren't playing very much at the end of the year." Popovich added that he'd "love" to see Sochan on the floor for these final few games, "but at this point of the year, with their injuries, it doesn't make any sense."
