Impact After missing the Pacers' final game before the All-Star break due to a sore lower back, Walker got the green light to play Thursday. However, with Myles Turner (neck) making his return from a three-game absence and playing 32 minutes, the Pacers didn't have room in the rotation for Walker while the contest was competitive. The Pacers will likely have to be without Turner, Pascal Siakam, Obi Toppin and Thomas Bryant for a given game in order for Walker to receive meaningful playing time.

While the 21-year-old forward is shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three this season, he is averaging just 6.2 points per contest. However, Walker's main contributions have come on the defensive end, as he has recorded at least one steal or block in 30 of his 46 appearances in 2024-25.

Impact Walker led the Pacers' bench in scoring, but he couldn't find his rhythm from beyond the arc in the loss. The second-year pro has received fairly inconsistent playing time this season, though he has provided a valuable spark off the bench, averaging career-high numbers across the board.

Impact The dozen boards were a career high for the second-year forward, and Walker had never even posted double digits in the category prior to Sunday. While his court time and usage from the Pacers' second unit remain erratic -- this was the first time since Dec. 29 he saw 20-plus minutes -- Walker's play appears to be on an upswing. Over the last 10 games, he's shooting 53.2 percent from the floor and 51.9 percent (14-for-27) from beyond the arc while averaging 9.3 points, 3.2 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.4 threes and 1.0 steals in just 17.0 minutes a contest.

Impact Walker has been in good form of late, having scored in double digits in six of his last eight games, despite reaching that mark just five times over the first 30 contests of the season. He doesn't contribute much outside of his scoring though, so while Pascal Siakam, Bennedict Mathurin and Obi Toppin remain ahead of him in the depth chart, it'll be difficult for Walker to provide consistent fantasy output. His next outing comes Friday against the Warriors.

The 21-year-old former No. 8 overall pick has yet to carve out a consistent role off Indiana's bench during his second season, but Walker does present a short-term boost in fantasy value while Obi Toppin's (ankle) status remains up in the air for Sunday's meeting with Boston.
